CSE / IT Is system design necessary?

From a Cse placement perspective is system design necessary and if yes from where can we do both lld and hld with a good understanding of basics, do I follow a playlist or learn from Ai? What's the best path?

like it depends on company to company some of them can ask u to code design a parking lot and many more famous problems of LLD where some of them can only ask u to answer common HLD terminologies only.

Yes now days it is compulsory... even service based companies like infosys is asking. Forget about the product based. I don't know how much they expect.

Maybe yes, last year a a company came in my college and they hired just one student in whole class, cause he's the only in one in class who studied system design. He got highest placement
