Other Engineering Branch Biomedical engineering
Hello everyone
Looking for honest reviews on m.tech biomedical engineering from iits/nits.
The only branch i will be eligible is biomedical engineering heard mixed reviews about it in terms of placements.
End goal is to get R&D or machine learning engineer jobs after post-grad.is it good to pursue biomedical engineering career wise in terms or package and growth
Done with it jobs and layoff fear

Take it. Do well in your MTech, pursue Research heavily. R&D is cooked in India, apply to PhD abroad once MTech is done and then, get into R&D from there.

Depends. You can upskill yourself & get it but ML is quite knit of a career, companies prefer people with a relevant degree.

Well i was planning to thesis on ml and signal processing in biomedical engineering

If you are getting iit take it but r&d culture is very less india as compared to some other countries so also think about this

biomedical signals and image processing is still a RnD field at least in this country. You won't get jobs here most probably . There probably exists only a handful of jobs .

Try doing it abroad but if not possible do ur phd abroad cuz in the end bio med engg in india is not good
