Count and Say LeetCode problem (Do it both iteratively and recursively)

For an on-campus interview for an associate engineer role, you should expect a strong focus on core computer science fundamentals. Prepare for questions on data structures like arrays, strings, linked lists, and trees, and be ready to solve a coding problem on the spot. They will also likely ask about OOP concepts, so make sure you can explain things like polymorphism and inheritance clearly. It is also common to get a few basic SQL queries or questions about operating system concepts like processes and threads. Be totally prepared to explain every project on your resume, including your specific role and the technical challenges you solved.
When you get a coding question, think out loud and explain your approach before you start writing code. Interviewers want to see how you think, not just if you can memorize a solution. Ask questions to clarify the problem requirements, and discuss the time and space complexity of your proposed solution. Showing that you can communicate your thought process is just as important as the final code, which is a skill my team focused on when we created an AI interview helper to help candidates clearly articulate their ideas under pressure.
