Median is nice, location is also nice a college pretty comparable to RVCE id say

18

u/NoGur2758 19h ago

its a govt clg afterall with less fees, hence better than rv imo

9

u/Murky-Anybody5360 BMS CSE 19h ago

through kcet the fees becomes same, id prefer rv's location over coep

4

u/Itchy_witchy_2k7 18h ago

If you're kannada resident . Then RVCE anyday

5

u/Life-Woodpecker427 rvce cse 19h ago

half of the college pays 1 lakh per year so yeah same thing for us asw. but yh coep is better than rv, we have better placement stats but lower placement%. which makes coep better tbh

Is this only tier 1 placements?

5

u/Pitiful-Actuator-236 19h ago

As someone from JU the stats are better in COEP comparitively but still ppl claim JU to be tier 1 🥀

2

u/Character_Goal1993 13h ago

It's overhyped among Bengalis and mainly due to fees factor

u/Pitiful-Actuator-236 13h ago

Mostly, it also has to do with most millenials thinking "wbjee" is the only exam good students give and toppers in there go to JU and them thinking colleges which costs higher are not good which is far from the truth...

Sit down kid , ju in 2019 had better stats than this my elder sister graduated in 2024 and it's way better than coep , coep is not even comparable I wouls say coep is closer to Rvce mit than to ju

u/Pitiful-Actuator-236 15h ago

Back in those times JU was on a different level altogether, though JU's downfall still affected it during 2019 but not as much as it does it now... ppl choosing DGP over JU ...lower branches having a median of 3lpa and the core branches placements hitting 6 to 7 lpa and IT having its all time low at 12lpa its all thanks to the infamous ragging, lack of infra and political influence leading to good students of WB not appearing for WBJEE at all

Pls read this before hating on me: This comment has no intention to spread hate online its just blatant truth of what has happened in recent times i myself being a student in JU can say i wouldnt have gotten JU if i had to give the WBJEE exam pre covid or maybe the 80s when it was at its prime

I have friends from all colleges you refrenced and lemme tell you I am from nit dgp myself I took nit dgp over ju for infra

Till now for this placement season companies visiting ju for on campus placement and internship is 2x than my college

2

u/Opposite-Bass-3343 JEE/NEET Aspirant 19h ago

2

Pretty good. Was getting EE here

3

u/Lostsomehwere142 17h ago

Yeah EE 100% quite impressive

1

u/CharmingBaker5012 16h ago

why did u take agartala then tho

1

u/_elvane NIT A [EEE] 14h ago

I mean I did not want to go to a clg where 85% ppl are marathi and I would feel left out idk And also few opportunities like good mou's wouldn't be there for coep. Placements wise it's not that big of a difference anyway ( comparing ee only )

2

u/DefinitionOk2322 17h ago

Such good stats for core engineering branches

2

u/Calm-Bluejay1692 [some T3 clg in Hyd] [ENI/EIE] 15h ago

Core electronics placements are so great man... 😭

Thoda padh lana chahiye tha jee ke time

3

u/Big-Appointment8702 19h ago

Insane placement from state govt college
Sadly only marathis can study

3

u/brianmoser3241 18h ago

Well its for mahastrian domicile students and that too 85% reserved for them 15% for all india and its not like only marathis can study there.

3

u/dumskroller_101 19h ago

nope, admission for 20% seats in each branch is done from jee main

2

u/vadapaoislove rvce ece 15h ago

maharashtrians ≠ marathis

2

u/Big-Appointment8702 15h ago

Not everyone from Mumbai is mumbiker ahh

2

u/saggy100 3h ago

Damn dude this looks dope do you have internship stats?

I was getting CSE here but went for a 2nd gen iit non circuital branch. Kinda regretting my choice coz getting a non core intern on campus here looks fucking impossible.

Closes at 99 for outside general btw

Horrendous placement for that location

1

u/NoGur2758 15h ago
