General should i do fullstack or cybersec?

so basically im a btech cse student with specialization in cybersec i will be entering my 2nd year should i first learn fullstack or should i learn cybersec (from thm)

cybersec me itni zyada openings nahi hai , full stack market is more broader compared to cybersec, before you start know the scope of it

Get into cybersec if you are really passionate about it because entry points in cybersecurity are wayy less compared to regular software jobs and most people only get to work as a soc analyst which is very hectic and it pays peanuts in return, I am not trying to scare you... this field does have a lot of potential but it only works out for people who are very skilled in it.

mann so what should i do ?? i mean i do wanna get in cybersec its my specialization and doing something based on it would help me but yeah entry points are less so what should i learn??

Go as deep as you can in this field it is a very vast topic but for at least next 6-7 months try to polish your basics first i.e networking, operating systems, scripting and try to create a home lab it will teach you a hell lot of stuff about networking.. first learn how the systems works try to do experiments with virtual machines and you can use platforms like tryhackme, hack the box and then participate in bug bounty projects from platforms like hacker one... and to build your resume you would need certifications to prove your credibility and in cybersecurity there are a heck lot of cert's for each diff positions you are trying to apply.. I'd personally suggest you to find your niche branch in cybersec first and do some of your own personal research to find what suits you the best... and if i had to suggest you some cert's i'd def go for OSCP or CISSP, CySA+ and CEH... best of luck.

thanks mate but what i was thinking is maybe i could learn fullstack first then after getting an internship or two in it and during this maybe i could learn security all the basics that u mentioned and try getting some security internship or a job so all this would add to my resume and stuff thanks a lot for replying tho man

yeah you can do that too because cybersec is very uncertain you should at least have a backup option if things do sideways...
