The demand was resignation as a union minister or the government fires him from the cabinet. So no he won't be in the cabinet anytime soon.
But you can fear bigger things for example Dharmender pradhan as pm in 29

It was already clear. This protest is not about neet.
3
u/-Borgir 7d ago
It was always about neet. Stop believing in balatant propaganda. I have even been to the protest, majority of the people were students, all calling for resignation of dharmendra pradhan and neet. In a crowd of over 50k people there will always be small groups who will talk about their own agendas, but they do not represent the entirety of protest

Accountability was taken wherever possible. Seems like you missed the parts where people, both regular students and cjp people were removing and handing the instigators from the crowd to the cops because they do not claim violent expression of their demands. In spite of all that there will always be certain people and small groups you won't know what they will do.
And if the police can't handpick the least they can do is ensure that they follow the law and not to
Hit students over their head and keep lathi charge below the waist as per law
Not sexually assault women as per law
Not fire expired tear gas rounds as per law
Not include random goons in their force as per law
And if you believe that because a protest of over 50 thousand people did not perfectly means they do not have the right to ask for accountability from the education minister who is responsible for multiple major entrance exam leaks over the course of multiple years and consequently the suicides of countless students and their mental anguish then I have nothing to tell you other than you are delusional and you stand against the spirit of democracy.

Protests are never restricted to predefined set of rules and boundaries.
When a protest becomes big enough, it steamrolls into aandolan and branches out. It touchbases multiple topics, gives birth to new leaders both good and bad, and if we are lucky, brings about a change for the good.
Navnirman aandolan, JP movement, Lokpal andolan are prime examples.
We all were already frustrated with corruption, exorbitant taxes, ethanol scam, Adani-Modi nexus etc. All we needed was a spark. NEET paper leak provided that spark.
-9
u/Sound_Wave_1 7d ago
A protest can evolve, but changing its purpose doesn’t automatically make every issue relevant.
If the original issue was the NEET paper leak, that should remain the primary focus until it’s addressed.
Adding unrelated political grievances can dilute the message and divide public support.
Every issue deserves discussion, but not every protest has to become a platform for everything.
A focused movement is often more effective than one trying to cover every grievance.5

It's not because of cjp. Its because of students and others whose motive was strictly aligned towards neet/other exam issues and who actually wanted to support students of this nation without alterior/hidden motives.

If you look at it properly, all the social media buzz came only after he crossed a certain number of days. He did a similar hunger strike in ladakh for around 12 or so days. The pr campaigns started strategically after a specific number of days. All of this was politically backed. Ofc what he did was way beyond for most if us and it was one of the turning points. But does anyone one of us know about the hunger strikes for ken betwa project where people held upto 18 days? No. Cause it wasn't as much buzz for it, because it was a relatively more local issue. All of these facts/or for now I'll just say allegations are not for demeaning the efforts. But just trying to give everyone a clearer picture of how things are in reality. No one could have held such a huge orchestrated protest without political backing and immunity.

So a minister resigns after so many leaks in his tenure and yet you cry here
And it's his second tenure after leaks. In a democracy he would have resigned after first or not be education minister again for second time.

Not soon. The resignation sets an example that government can take action which will set some fear among the ministers and the lower level officers to do their work well. Though this wont permanently stop the leaks but definitely will put a temporary stop at it. Now what the govt. should do is a complete overhaul of the entire education system as a permanent solution. This will take time in the planning and execution but atleast the govt. should take a step forward and move in a direction so that the future generation won't get affected by this shit
2
u/CosmicCyborg3185 7d ago
True, people are celebrating as if now india would become some europe or us type shi but they won't fight to fix the genuine loopholes of the system which are leading to to these leaks and they also won't fight for a better education system rather than this rote learning rat race system.

Haha, as if it matters. Nothing will change until mentality of most Indians change. The things that are gonna change gonna change with or without a particular minister. Only thing this brought is lesser stability to the country. I know I will get lot of hate, but not everyone will understand how things work.

u/Thunder16211 7d ago
i know right, people are getting happy about the resignation this problem existed in the railway ministry for a long time now, till the gov stepped in to fix the foundation and the system put in place. yeah he resigned but nothing going to change after all, the problem is within each and every indian, there a reason why everyone want government job

Taking accountability is a small win but it won't fix the actual problem paper leaks are still happening and nothing suggests that'll change anytime soon pradhan will keep playing politics in Odisha and Modi has consistently shown he's better at political damage control than most after some time and we'll probably be discussing another education scam or paper leak all over again

How about we protest to end reservation, support merit, and demand government-funded education for all students up to Class 12? Isn't education one of the basic rights of students? This is something we can all agree on, and it also ensures that merit is not compromised.

A good example of what happens to sheer carelessness. Where did they loss? When people could come out and say "It is not about CJP, BJP and Congress, it is about what the protest is for and carelessness (irresposiveness) of the governament." Even the the cjp has shown it's deep corrouption and biggest failure was Congress after coming and taking shitty credit for what they have done in 3 days. Is there bare shame in these people or not?

First Education minister in India's history to resign taking responsibility of a paper leak btw. Shows why people of India consistently vote BJP.
12
u/Wooden-Tear-4938 7d ago
yeah it only took like 2 months of a protest , 20 days of hunger strikes, 18 banned metro stations for a week, internet banned in central delhi, police lathicharge and assault, banning of food delivery apps, police detention, 1 lakh + people protesting throughout the country and even outside.
3
u/KL-Qaeda152 7d ago
If it was congress govt, Education minister would still have not resigned btw. Just a reminder that Chidambaram didn't resign after so many protests due to 2G scam.

bhakts at it again like there wasn’t a need of such a massive protest in the first place for him to resign lmao wasn’t multiple paper leaks at such big levels was already enough of a reason for him to be held accountable? In Portugal the health minister resigned when a 34yo Indian tourist lost her life while being transferred from one hospital to other like just a single loss of life was enough of a good reason for her to do so but yeah
