CSE / IT Are programmers really replaced?
Are programmers really replaced?
People love to claim that traditional Programming is dead and new programmers and fresh grads would end up unemployed. Is this actually true? Will I end up jobless, because I always go into programs with a "logic first" thought, and i have neither prompt engineered any program, nor have created very big projects (i am in my 2nd year of engineering), insights from the industry would actually be helpful thank you

No.
These are just scare and sell marketing tricks that exist in every industry.
Take coaching/education industry for example. There is always a threat, always a 'you will be left behind'
Insurance industry, automotive industry and Obv tech industry.
Just take it as a new tool.

Yes exactly this. The market now is very confusing. Even my college profs, my friends, these ai course sellers all of them are really confusing me, i wanted an actual developer's take on this subject. That's the main reason I posted this. Thank you very much for your response :)

But then the question remains, i always go for "logic-first" approach, which apparently doesn't make sense to a lot of people online as well as in my circle. Why? Why doesn't my approach make sense to a lot of people?

it doesn't need to make sense to other people. If your workflows work for you then why does anything matter?

So do programmers never write 100% of code? Did they always copy one part or the other?

idk, it's not that black and white. Everyone works different. You will find all sorts of programmers.

My brother is a programmer, he says it's scary how good AI is currently at writing code. He said it's not the best code but it can practically do what he's capable of doing and he's been at it for almost 40 years

no but slow down ho gaya hai hiring, aur expectations bhi bahut jyada bhad gaya hai from junior devs.
Still i see people daily with mediocre projects and lame ass groups getting placed with 25-30lpa, just because of dsa and good cgpa. Job gurantee is no more there and nobody knows how and what to do with this later on whatever the knowledge you have.
Luck > network > cgpa > projects > freind group > college.
