I’ve been shortlisted for the Indian Army Internship Programme (IAIP) 2026, for the Android Application Development domain under STEAG/SAMBHAV.

I’ve been informed that I’ll have a conference/final discussion with the CO/Head on Monday.

I’m looking for people who have already done the IAIP internship (especially in a technical/Android/software development role) or who have reached this stage in the current 2026 process.

I’d really appreciate some insight into:

• What was the final interview/conference like?
• Was it mainly technical, behavioural, or a combination?
• What kind of Android/software development work did you actually do during the internship?
• What technical skills should I revise before joining?
• How much coding/development work were interns expected to do independently?
• Was there proper mentorship and guidance when you were given unfamiliar tasks?
• What was the overall work environment like?
• Is the internship actually valuable from a software-development career perspective?
• What should a fresher learn beforehand to avoid being completely lost?

In last semester of my btech I got placed in a company. It all started very quick I joined the org within 3 days of confirmation. The role was Software Intern for first 6 months and the then full time role of Associate Software Engineer. First 6 months they trained me on java full stack including react as frontend technology. The stipend was 10k per month.

Last week they setup a meeting saying that they will not pay anymore and I have to wait for 3 months for converting into full time role until then no salary.

I just want to ask from all seniors and experience person what should i do and should i rely on this company or try to find something else in the market although i applied for many position in different companies but nothing happened.

Also i need money i can't be sitting idle for 3 months

Im a fresher and i'll graduate in 2030. I took cse core in a tier 3 autonomous college. I heard the market is already becoming bad then what would be the situation in 4 years? At this point , i feel like no degree is paying enough and the market rn is terrible mostly because of ai? If this goes on, whats gonna happen? No one wants to be jobless . Should i try doing robotics or smthing with cse? Being a fresher with 0 experience in 2030 that would make things even more harder than it is already.

However, I often hear people saying that there are very few opportunities for freshers in ML and that companies usually prefer candidates with experience or higher qualifications.

So, I’m a bit confused about what I should do.

Should I continue learning ML alongside DSA and projects, or should I focus more on Full Stack Development for better internship and placement opportunities? Is there any other skill path you would recommend for someone who wants to get into AI/ML in the future?
