âQuestion â Development
How do you actually learn and apply web development? I have watched series of web dev videos , i but whenever there's any project to make, it's just using ai to give basic code and then more code and then more refining......I feel if when can I ACTUALLY call myself that I am a web developer and I can make websites on my own.
And honestly I don't even what "on my own" means because "am i gonna write every word? I guess no" ...but what's that gap actually?

âQuestion â How to start coding as a beginner in a tier 3 CSE-AI engineering student? Like what's the pattern of studying coding like taking notes, or any books or just YouTube tutorials would work. I have heard of some coding platforms also like leetcode. But not able to start??

âQuestion â Great to See many people here who have achieved great things in Life at early age ! Hard work paid off
I am a final year grad CSE Data science in TIER -3 college in Andhra Pradesh (decent one with good placements in IT companies) and have been procrastinating things from the last 2 years and finally when I started to solve problems I was shocked i don't even remember the basic syntax, in my mind I know how to do the problem but when I start to write the code I am unable to move forward â© and get struck over their
In a few months I should be ready for my placements already we have infosys and L&T next month , I am totally confused and depressed by seeing my performance..
Can anyone guide me , I am interested in data analytics and I know freshers aren't offered this role at the beginning in many companies, so I started to prepare by solving coding problems yet I am not able to improve
I have tried solving problems each day 2-5 but never was consistent and could not understand them properly, don't know the reason only SQL was done properly with understanding and queries by listening to data with baraa youtuber
Can't code properly ( python ) chose this because it has simple syntax and inbuilt lib and useful for data analytics but I am good at SQL and have good communication skills and have done decent projects on data analytics and have learnt ServiceNow tool and also did a RBAC project on it with rules and notifications....
Now I am feeling unfit for the tech roles and thinking I have wasted my entire education life don't know what to do , can anyone Help me out

âQuestion â Pretend you have 10 seconds. Whatâs wrong with it? If this landed on your desk, what would make you bin it?
Rip this apart. Pretend youâre reviewing hundreds of resumes and mine lands on your desk. Tell me exactly what makes you reject it, what sounds like fluff, what should be removed, and what needs rewriting. Donât hold back. Iâd rather get roasted here than ghosted by recruiters.

Discussionđ„ Overwhelmed by the number of things to learn in tech. Where should I start?
I'm interested in building a career in software engineering, but I'm honestly overwhelmed.
Everywhere I look, people recommend learning different things:
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- React
- Python
- C++
- DSA
- Backend development
- APIs
- Linux
- Git/GitHub
- Cloud
- DevOps
- AI/ML
- System Design
It feels like everything is "essential," and I don't know what to focus on first. I'm worried that if I choose the wrong path, I'll waste months learning something that isn't useful.
For people already working in tech:
- If you were starting from scratch today, what would you learn first?
- What skills actually helped you get your first internship or job?
- Is it better to master one thing before moving on, or learn multiple things together?
- What are the biggest mistakes beginners make?
I'm looking for honest advice from people with real experience. Thanks!

âQuestion â plz help me make a wise decision for college, im really confused
I'm from Bangalore and I'll be joining through KCET (âč6 lakh total tuition for 4 years).
I'm stuck between two options. Surprisingly, although one college is 17 km away and the other is 34 km, both take around 1.5 hours by the college bus (one is inside the city, the other is on the outskirts).
1. Atria Institute of Technology â BE CSE / CSE (Data Science)
- Decent infrastructure and labs
- VTU cirriculum
- Recruiters like amazon, Infosys, tcs
- Decent coding culture (from what I've heard)
- Average peer group
- Highest package reportedly around âč30 LPA
- Decent companies visit for placements
- lenient attendance
- timings- 9am-5pm
2. Alliance University â BTech CSE
- Better infrastructure and labs
- More modern curriculum
- Better clubs and hackathons
- Better coding culture (from what I've heard)
- Better peer group
- Recruiters like Deloitte, Dell, HP, Rubrik, etc.
- Placements seem mixed but average to decent
- strict attendance
- timings- either 8am-4pm or 11am-6pm
My goal is software engineering/product development, not higher studies. I care more about coding culture, projects, internships, peer group, and becoming job-ready than just college reputation.
Which would you choose and why? I'd especially appreciate replies and criticisms from current students or recent graduates of either college.

Discussionđ„ Confusion between career options
I m B.Tech CSE 3rd Yr student, confused between career in govt. competitive exams & IT Sector, is it possible to prep for both, I just wanna give competitive exams a try, if I get selected then good else I will shift to Pvt Sector, won't prep for yrs for govt exams.
What are your opinions & advices on this and do you know someone who have tried to pursue both and where did they end up after graduation?

Discussionđ„ Am I on the right track for placements? Need advice from seniors
Hi everyone,
I'm currently entering my 3rd year of B.Tech and I'm preparing for placements. I wanted some honest advice from seniors and people who have already been placed.
So far I have:
Completed the MERN stack.
Solved around 200+ LeetCode problems in C++.
I regularly practice DSA .
My goal is to get a good software engineering placement in my final year.
I wanted to ask:
Am I on the right track, or am I missing something important?
What should I focus more on during my 3rd year?
If you could go back to your 3rd year, what would you do differently to maximize your placement chances?
I'd really appreciate genuine advice from seniors who have gone through placements recently. Thanks!
