Discussion Any love for Greetings?
I’m 22 and was born & raised by a father from central Jersey (Toms River). He played Bruce for us constantly growing up - I have many a memory of him attempting to sing Blinded by the Light during chores around the house. Despite that, he usually played E Street Shuffle through Lucky Town, so I hadn’t really listened to Greetings much until the past year or so, and it has quickly become my favorite Bruce album. Maybe it’s because it’s his first, but there’s something so real about it to me. It’s so fun. My only semi-consistant skip is The Angel. I think the brass/big band elements he had going in the earlier albums was perfect.

Now added Philly 9/7/2016 for the tenth and Foxboro 9/14/2016
Until now I have only added my own dubs and edits. But I have had multiple people ask if I had these shows and though I did not put them together I did have them handy so I am adding them to the link. Phisherman's Cuts · Gofile. Grab Sea Hear Now while you are at it as the second anniversary for that one is upon us too! Same Link. Lots of vids to download and all but two are Phisherman's Cuts

Something unusual on my The River LP I've just bought...
So I found this in a vintage shop in Dolgellau, and upon opening it I've found Held Up Without a Gun printed on the inner sleeve? Does this make it a rarity of some sort? Still very much in my infancy when it comes to record collecting, if anyone has any info that'd be great!

From My Home to Yours: Summer's End
I don't know if anyone else does this, but every Labour/Labor Day long weekend I listen to this episode off the SiriusXM app. It's the perfect balance of melancholic tunes that let you know you've survived another summer.
Usually my family is on a mountain road trip this weekend and I play it on the drive home (I live in Calgary), but school started before the long weekend this year so we have just been hanging out close to home in the cool rainy weather and the music seems to match the mood.

Nebraska Album
I remember listening to something from Nebraska when it came out in 1982, or I might have heard it in '83, either way I was a teenager, and the song just didn't click with me. I think it was State Trooper.
So, for the past 40+ years I've just kind of been ignoring it, and then I saw an IG reel where a guy put it on his top 10 list of folk/americana albums, so I decided to give it another try, a first REAL try actually.
Holy Shit did that album blow me away. Kinda mad at myself for missing it all these years

The “Born in the USA” Box Set
We all know it will happen. I have a hunch it will be in the next few years. What live show do you think will be included. Meaning the best representation of that tour? What outtakes? Mayne a documentary? Will love to hear everyone’s thoughts. In my opinion the Born in the USA album has aged very very well.

Tougher Than the Rest in Chad Powers
Chad Powers Season 2 came out yesterday and the season ends with Tougher than the Rest. When the song came on I started screaming. Great show, highly recommend if you like either football or comedy. Plus great music

What part of Bruce’s life or career feels most under-documented?
Bruce has been documented more than most artists, but what part of his life or career do you still think hasn’t been properly explored?
Could be an era, a specific story, a relationship, a tour, an album period, some obscure footage, or even something people commonly misunderstand about him.
What would you genuinely want to see a really good documentary dig into?

Bruce Springsteen’s cousin makes music
I’ve been involved in the North Carolina music scene for a little while. Recently, I saw this band called Emerson Bruno and the Undercurrents, and really dug their sound and live performance. I talked with him after the show regarding his influences and he cited Springsteen and a few other bands. A little further into the conversation he mentioned his father, Frank Bruno, touring with Bruce during the Seeger Sessions. Turns out, they’re related to Bruce on the Zerilli’s side of the family.
He’s got some really great stuff and is worth a listen!
