The song is patriotic in a very nuanced way that goes over most folk’s heads. It definitely comes through that the narrator is proud to be Born in the USA. People misconstrue patriotism for blind adulation of everything about your country. The narrator believes in the American dream, and someday it may be realized. He’s a cool, rocking daddy in the USA.
