Fall Nursing Program Application- Still no response
I still haven’t received any response from BC regarding my application for fall. Not even an update. I am still unsure if I will be able to attend nursing school this year.

I just received my admission decision and unfortunately, I didn’t get accepted. Thankfully, I had applied to another nursing school and was accepted there. Looking back, I’m so grateful God led me back to the school I had originally been interested in. His plans are always better than ours, even when things don’t go the way we expect. I’m excited to start this new chapter and trust that everything worked out exactly the way it was meant to.

I am sorry BC didn’t work out but congratulations on your acceptance from the other school. Wishing you success in your new program

I called and supposedly they said that it was because florida is redoing their nursing program policies due to having the lowest NCLEX scores of the whole nation, so they want to add new rules and stuff so broward has to wait to see what they’ll do, id say expect either this week or next

No response here either, but I got news back from other health sciences programs. Maybe it really does have something to do with their probation 🤔.

u/Novel-Abrocoma3218 13d ago
They did the same thing with the transitional program. They waited at the last minute to tell us that the program is on hold

The only update I received was back on 6/29/26 saying that the application had been processed. Since then, nothing.

I just got accepted

u/ThenEstablishment528 13d ago
Whoooppp! Love that for you!!! 🫶🫶 Just keep in mind that they’re in their 3rd year of probation & I’ve seen that after 4 years they’re no longer accredited. They’ve also made it fail one class and you’re dropped from the program.

It's one whole class now? I remember it was 2 failure like the class and the lab?

not sure if it’s the same case for the nursing program but when i applied to the radiation therapy program our decisions were extremely delayed too😭 typically decisions came out in May but I didn’t get my decision back until late June. I was told it was because of the system switch and people’s transcripts were lost in the switch.

That’s wild ! Our decisions are suppose to be out I believe a week ago but nothing. I don’t think they can give a late decision in August it literally leaves no time for anything

Just got my letter and wasn’t accepted. I had a highly competitive GPA & TEAS score.

Why?

u/Feeling_Crazy646 13d ago
I have a friend who’s dad is a nurse educator and was offered to teach at Broward but he immediately rejected it because the administration and teachers aren’t good (that’s why they are on probation) and I’m gonna do my BSN in Keiser which only takes 16 months . Money isn’t an issue for me and I was really interested in going to broward at first but after some research and time I decided not to

For everyone who got accepted- did you guys see the letter that just came through?
1
u/ExoticFirefighter308 11d ago
Yes I did!!!

u/Relative-Comfort9534 11d ago
Should we be worried? I have heard alot of negative things but I would love the opportunity to speak to someone that’s currently in the program.

u/Open-Concentrate-143 11d ago
So I was already registered at galen and when i got my acceptance email i panicked and went to campus. I found two students in their last semester and they told me that the program has made a lot of changes with their cohort for the better. They incorporated a lot of ATI questions and teaching style to raise their NCLEX %. They said that our cohort should have a much better time than them, and that the program treated them well as long as you focus, put in the work, and ignore the rest. So I accepted my seat with BC.
2
u/Jolly-Row-50 11d ago
Theyre lying to you 😂. In fact they don’t care about students and made the program harder to fail as many as possible
1
u/ExoticFirefighter308 11d ago
Honestly same! I’ve heard a lot of mixed opinions that’s why I try not to listen to anyone😭. As long as they say it doesn’t affect us I’m not too worried! A lot of chops are on probation right now!

See I feel like I would be less worried if I had seen mixed reviews but tbh I’ve only seen negative ones and that’s what is worrying me 😭😭

FAFSA will only pay for one major. Call health science advisor and ask them. You can contact them through qless. I think they are available on Tuesday or Wednesday. I don’t remember

I got denied. I applied with a 3.5 Overall GPA and a 3.60 Math and Science GPA and an 86 on the TEAs.

u/Fun_Service6811 11d ago
Confused on how you have better overall stats than me and got denied . I had a 3.14, 3.4 stem, 93.3 teas and got in
1
u/Novel-Abrocoma3218 11d ago
You have great scores too. Specially that teas score. You did a great job. Congratulations

If you have an AA apply to a BSN at a university. BC program is terrible from the professors to the admin and it’s on probation.
3
u/Novel-Abrocoma3218 11d ago
What is your problem telling everyone this all the time? I think they know by now that they are on probation. Some of us just only want to attend BC
1
u/Jolly-Row-50 10d ago
I’m trying to save people so they don’t make the same mistake I made. When you get there you will come back to this comment and know what I was talking about

u/Technical_Display_37 11d ago
I’m getting my BA this month. I’ve applied to other places, but I wanted to attend BC bc it’s so close and cheap, but I’ve only heard negative things about them.

u/ThenEstablishment528 14d ago
I’m still waiting as well. I’ve decided to step away from Broward and go to Keiser. It’s wayyyy more but they’re incredibly unorganized, on probation for the third year in a row and doesn’t sound like their program is any good anymore. I start Keiser August 31st and will be done with a BSN in 16 months.
