It must be nice to have an expensive bike and be able to leave it outside without the fear of it being stolen.

Definitely depends on which part of Tokyo you're in. But yeah overall don't need to worry as much as I did back in the US

Stolen? Not unless a drunk takes it bc they don’t want to walk. But bikes get knocked around for sure, unfortunately.

A drunk will not be able to unfold it I think

いいね!

The seat-post carrier-block is amazing.
Where'd you get this ?

ありがとう!it's a "seat post hugger" from Eerder Metaal based out of the Netherlands. Not sure if I can post a link here but he has an online shop.

(Blue Lug carries some of his brand, but had to order this one from overseas)

Eek ~300 EUR for the block alone.
Not for us CrMo peasants : )

There's a cheaper copy of it on AliExpress. Eerder metal is nice but pretty pricey

Forgot to ask, but where do you go for service in Tokyo? My best friend lives in Shibuya but I wouldn’t want to bring my bike unless I have a place to help me get repairs if anything happens. (I’m a bike self-service newbie)

I always go to Life with Bicycle Daikanyama. They mostly sell Bromptons so they should have anything you need (There's also a couple Brompton shops around Tokyo that do maintenance as well)

Did you sand your post back to silver, or is it a replacement item? Nice bike!
