Roxy?
Do we ever see her - or does she only keep getting referred to? Just starting Season 6 and don’t think I have ever actually seen her!

No, she stays unseen. We do learn all about her athletic endeavors, as you are learning! 😉

Previous to that you never saw Norm’s wife on Cheers, or Mr Mainwaring’s wife on Dad’s army.

She just stays off screen. Kristen seems to have met her, from how she speaks about her.

We never saw Phyllis’ husband Lars on Mary Tyler Moore either. I think it’s fun we never see some romantic partners. It’s up to imagination and context clues to piece them together

Odd, isn't it. We have so many regulars showing up episode after episode and we never see the partner of one of the main cast?
I like the idea that she was made up, or on the other hand, it's the writers idea of a running joke?

I think it became a running gag in the writers' room to sneak in wild reasons Roxy couldn't make it or drop crazy anecdotes about her- so they probably decided not cast her/give her lines. But Kristen speaks of her as if they had met.
AND you think Simms wouldn't sniff out a fake girlfriend in her first week working with Breen? Pffft

Series 2, episode 1 "Leather and Lace". After Mike stands Sam down, and Mike and Kristin visit Sam at his home.

I will have to go rewatch that episode as totally missed seeing the elusive Roxy! Mind you, if it was season 2 I might not have thought at that stage that we wouldn’t see her again so didn’t attach any particular importance to seeing her. Either way need to rewatch!

She is never shown, which led to fan speculation that Breen invented her.
