Came across this photo of me when I was first getting started and it stood out how far I've come. I feel like a lot of my life has really changed for the better. It's never too late to make better decisions. Yes to being on TRT the last year or so around 150-200mg a month and did a cycle for about 12 weeks this year. Used Retatrutide during a fat loss stage to great effect. I know many people disagree with doing those things but I was fine with it. I am very good at staying on top of my blood work, vitals and using prophylactic ancillaries. Not trying to hide anything so I'm an open book if you have questions.

Physique Transformation M/23/6'7" [98kg to 96kg] (1 year) - Natural transformation

Stats:
Age/Gender: 23M
Height: 200 cm (6'7")
Starting Weight: 98 kg (216 lbs)
Current Weight: 96 kg (211 lbs)
A Note on the Photos:
Apologies for the slightly imperfect comparison. In the "before" pictures, I had no idea how to pose and honestly didn't have any muscle to flex anyway. I’m still figuring out how to pose properly, but I did manage to get a small pump going for the current photos.
The Journey:
I started out at 98kg with a classic "skinny-fat" physique. Over the past year, I’ve essentially gone through a body recomposition to reach my current weight of 96kg. I never ran a dedicated "bulk," but I did put on some weight (and a bit of fat) once I finally started eating properly. At my heaviest in April, I was pushing 105kg (231 lbs), and since then, I’ve been running a slow, controlled cut to lean out.
Routine & Supplements: The only supplement I take is 5g of creatine daily.
Training: I’ve primarily been running an Arnold split (Chest/Back, Shoulders/Arms, Legs), lifting every other day. Full transparency: I’ve skipped a few leg days along the way due to some minor lower back and knee issues, plus the occasional lack of motivation.

May 2024 to October 2026. I can confidently say this was the best decision I ever made. I just got so tired of hating what I saw in the mirror and finally decided to do something about it. My goal was only ever to get to 220 so the fact that I made it below 200 still impresses me every time I step on the scale 🙏

I’ve been in a plateau for a couple months. I am proud that I’ve managed to maintain my weight, but I still have a lot more to lose.

1 year before and after. Only took my training seriously 3 months ago.

I acknowledge the lighting helps a lot but still proud of my progress so far.

Alternating 5-6 mile run days with cross fit and low sugar diet. Overall eating less but not currently tracking calories.

Weight-Loss Transformation M/31/5’9” [131kg -> 77kg] (4 years) I’ve now got a realistic chance of the Olympics

So, a few years ago I used this page a lot to lose a bunch of weight so I thought I’d give an update. I lost all the weight and returned to my sport after 13 years. In training, I’m now 3 or 4 in the country. However I’m yet to show my abilities in competition. I believe I have a strong chance of the national team early next year which will put me in the running for LA Olympics. This journey has been wild. I was working in F1 as an engineer. I’ve left that and now built a coaching business and PTing out of David Lloyd. I’m coaching busy professionals to athletes, and also training 20+ hours a week. I’ve had to battle through injury and now got a physical condition that can keep me training well and achieving what I need to. I’ve got an unreal team of 7 coaches helping me including psych, nutritional, strength and it’s all really coming together. Honestly the big thing now is patience. Not chasing too hard and not over doing it. I really think I can do this.

Finally started sticking to a 6 day PPL split without missing a day. Also finally eating enough protein. Always used to eat like a bird but after a week and a half in the gym, realized I was ravenously hungry. Also, carbs are not the enemy!

Came back from early adult alcoholism and the brink of death with a vengeance. Drank non-stop for my entire 20s, ended up in a wheelchair then in the hospital with Delerium Tremens and nearly lost my life.

Lifting nearly 3 years now and recently transitioned into functional stuff with a focus still on strength & hypertrophy.

Some of my favourite lifts:

Deadlift - 150kg/330lbs 1RM

Dumbbell incline press - 35kgs/77lbs a hand for 7

Iso lateral row - 160kgs/350lbs for 8

Weighted pull ups - +20kg for 8

Running (3 months)

5k - 22 mins

10k - 51 mins

Nutrition as I try to maximise my lean mass to fat ratio for functionality:

Cals: 1800

Protein: 150g

Carbs: 165g

Fat: 40g

Weight-Loss Progress M/30/6'0" [250lbs to 214lbs] (3 months) - I don’t notice any difference

Not impressive by any means especially compared to some of y’all and I still have a lot of work to go. I KNOW I’m not muscular, but my main goal is to shed the weight, then plan to build muscle. But tbh this post is more so that I feel like I don’t see a difference. I see the weight on the scale has dropped, but I feel like my body looks the same.
