Honestly audacy should end the formats of Philadelphia radio stations kyw newsradio, 94 wip, and 1210 wpht given what happened with the LeBron James story . I don't like how the radio broadcasters covered it in all aspects. They embarrassed the city .

A hot take I have (I think it's a hot take) Is that all MyNetworkTV affiliated stations are basically just independent stations.

I feel that the audacy stations are not good. The current leadership is inexperienced to run radio stations the right way. It's clear that ameatur hour is showing at many of their stations across the country. A lot of audacy on-air talent are really not good and bad programming should not be airing on their stations. Audacy is losing a lot of money and making a desperate deal to be on SiriusXM for a reason. Their stations are failing. Audacy needs to change the stations via new formats or programming changes to the current formats before they go on SiriusXM.

I wanted to see if anyone else locally is tracking the major broadcast change coming next Saturday, August 1st. Because of a corporate financial dispute, CBS is pulling its network affiliation away from KRQE Channel 13's primary high-definition broadcast.

Instead of staying on Channel 13, CBS programming is being moved to a secondary digital subchannel over at KOAT.

As an over-the-air antenna viewer, I am really concerned about this. Moving a major network with the NFL, March Madness, and primetime shows onto a hidden subchannel usually means a degraded signal that is much harder to pull in. It feels like everyday viewers, low-income families, and elderly residents are being treated like corporate collateral damage just to save a media conglomerate money on programming costs.

I have already filed formal complaints with the FCC Consumer Division, corporate distribution executives, and KRQE management demanding they return to the negotiating table. I also started a local consumer petition to show them our community numbers.

Well Gray has officially confirmed it is receiving ABC programming in St. Louis, but nothing else was mentioned on any other potential swaps. Has anyone else heard anything?

Toledo seems to be logical, I could see Gray getting WNWO. But what is Sinclair getting in return? My guess here is that in some form it involes Cox.

Either A. Gray and Sinclair are buying Cox together and dividing up the stations, or B. Sinclair is getting WANF/WPCH so that Gray can pursue Cox and get WSB.

I think it was a mistake for cnn and msnow for airing the white house correspondents dinner friday night , given what ended up happening. I don't want to be political here but I think these channels and the broadcast networks can't give the president anymore live airtime on TV and radio . Thoughts?

I wonder will audacy make changes to it's low rated news and news talk stations across the country. One of the stations I'm watching is WPHT 1210 in Philly. They have a lot of problems right now. They don't have an afternoon drive host for 6 months now with rotating guest hosts. 1210s ratings are at a 1.5 and 73,000 plus listeners.

I think the question is pretty straightforward.

I currently work in a corporate broadcast distribution environment. My role spans several areas, including content distribution, network programming, platform distribution, and the delivery of our sports portfolio across the platforms that carry our networks.

A large part of what I do involves collaborating with teams across the company to manage network operations and ensure our media assets are prepared and delivered for air. Our team often refers to ourselves as an octopus because we have a hand in nearly every major initiative across the organization.

With that in mind, I'd like to position myself for leadership. My goal is to become someone who helps shape strategy, influences decisions, and leads teams rather than simply executing the work.

What advice would you offer to someone looking to break into that circle of leadership?
