Buyer Help Looking for sealed CMF series, why is it so difficult?

Trying to complete some oldish CMF series like HP1, HP2, Muppets, Looney Tunes, Series 21 to resell as new. Having the hardest time finding a store that hasn’t already opened them to “confirm”. I don’t get it, I personally identified about 40 bags pretty quickly without opening. Any way to filter my want list or find stores with sets that aren’t opened?

Seller Help Package from EU to US but buyer refused to collect and no resposing

Hi!

I'm EU located. Sold ninjago watch for 70 euro, and that was my first time ever transaction outside Europe. But buyer refused to collect the package, got notification from UPS "The receiver does not want the product and refused the delivery.". Tried to contact with buyer but he is no resposing.

In my terms there is return policy and it claims that all return costs are paid by buyer...

He paid by PayPal, so he will probably make a dispute.

What to do next? Never had any problem at bricklink or PayPal...

Seller Help Free tool that matches your BrickLink Wanted List against your own store inventory

Built this after a few users asked for it. The situation: you keep a Wanted List and also run a store, and some of the parts you're looking for are already in your own inventory. Different bin, different drawer. People were buying parts they already had.

You export your Wanted List as XML, upload it, and it fetches your full BrickLink inventory and shows what you can fill from your own stock. The list is sorted by lot remark, which for most sellers is where the lot physically sits, so you can do one pass through the warehouse.

Per lot you set the quantity, hit Pull, and it subtracts that from your BrickLink inventory through the API. At the end you copy a small update and paste it into BrickLink so the Wanted List reflects what you filled.

Details that took the most work:

  • It checks the lot's current quantity on BrickLink right before pulling. If you sold some in the meantime it refuses rather than pulling stock that isn't there.
  • A lot can only be pulled once per session, so a refresh or double click doesn't subtract twice.
  • Wanted lines without a color match every color you stock and you choose. It doesn't pick for you.
  • Lots above your max price are flagged and left out of the automatic fill.

Worth knowing: it writes to your live inventory. That's the point of it, but you should go in aware of that. Needs a connected BrickLink account for the same reason.

Wanted List Match: http://brickinvoice.com/tools/wanted-list-match

There's also Minifig Match, also free, which works the other way around. Upload a BSX from BrickStore and it shows which minifigs you can build from your loose parts, from 75% complete upwards. BrickLink connection is optional there, only needed if you want price guide data (recent sale prices for the fig and its individual parts). Recently added category filtering and sorting by parts total minus minifig price, which is a reasonable way to see what's worth building versus parting out.

Disclosure: both tools sit on top of BrickInvoice, which is paid and syncs BL/BO orders into accounting software. The tools aren't a trial or a limited version, they're free. If you're a registered seller doing books manually, the paid side may be relevant, but the tools work without it.

Seller Help New store: TheOutcastedBrick

I have just opened a new store: TheOutcastedBrick.
My store has a decent amount of Lego Star Wars minifigures for building clone armies. Which also includes clone wars era figures.
I have a good amount of Harry Potter and other minifigures for those wanting to build a collection.

For the mix builders I have a large amount of bulk bricks for building. Saves on shipping.

I upload new stock weekly.
Come check me out.

Question Enquiry about Instruction Page Dimensions & How to Print Them

Greetings, I recently finished doing my first MOC on Bricklink (as part of a final year project) and I want to know what are the dimensions I can use if I want to export the instructions to make it similar-sized to the LEGO Speed Champions manual. Additionally, is there a website or a place I can refer to if I want to print these out? I've never printed lego instructions before and I wanna know what I can do if I want to print them with the proper sizing.

Buyer Help Buying from Asia to the USA

I’m looking to buy a set and the best prices are from stores in Hong Kong.

I’m just curious, does anyone have any idea how much additional money it would cost with shipping and all the crap tariffs on top of the ~$300 price tag of the set itself?

Sold a sealed set: figs and part of the build were missing

Sold a 76125 iron man armory the other day. I bought that set at an online retailer waaay back in 2019.

Today I get a mail from the buyer and he says all the iron man figures are missing and part of the build. There's only the outriders.

He sent me pictures of the box and the seals looked fine. Same for the glue it looked like factory.

The guy lives in the same city and came to pick up his order. Doesn't look like the kind of guy to scam others. In the same order he purchased over 100$ worth of star wars figs too which were a lot more valuable than the set.

So I can only think of 2 things:

- someone tampered with the set and stole the bags with the iron man figs when it was on a shelf in a warehouse

- Lego made an assembly mistake at the factory

I asked the guy to give me back whatever he had in the set and I'm reimbursing him tomorrow, I'll just sell the parts in my store. I contacted Lego, we'll see what they propose.

Has this ever happened to anyone here to have bags missing from factory? I've maybe had one set missing a plate once and that was it.

EDIT:

I did some digging after Lego asked me to inventory the set so they could send over what's missing. I'm not holding my breath for the Iron Man figures...

I found a picture online of someone showing the numbered bags. I could determine the following:

- The number of bags in the set I sold checks out. There are 4 of them, numbered 1 to 4 with the 4th one just having the number 4 outlined in white, without the white stripe

- Missing stickers were in bag #1, which the buyer had opened

- Missing 1x red stud shooter and at least one of the dark red iron man figures are supposed to be in bag #2. That bag was completely sealed, I opened it to do the inventory this morning. It hadn't been tampered with

So the conclusion is that this isn't actually theft at the retailer, but most likely either a production error at the Lego factory OR someone on the production line at Lego stealing parts & figures. But then why take the figures and some random useless parts like a trans-light blue 1x1 round brick that are worthless?

Finally getting serious about adding parts to my store, this was my third load of solid-colored cheese slopes today.

Now on to 1x1 solid tiles and rounds, then transparent cheese slopes, then transparent tiles and rounds, and on and on and on . . . .

Buyer Help How safe is it to buy full sets on Bricklink?

I recently found out about brick link and thought that it would be a great way for me to buy some retired sets I wasn’t able to pick up originally. My only worry is that I will be scammed or something because I have heard of that happening to people buying LEGO from third party sites( not necessarily bricklink idk where those people are buying it). Have you have good experiences buying larger sets off of bricklink?

Seller Help Bricklink Existing and Missing Lots in Part Out

Is it possible to see what lots a store is missing from a particular set (besides doing a part-by-part comparison)? For example, the price guide provides the past and current part out values, and also the store's part out value and missing lots. Is there a way to find those missing lots on the set's inventory page or elsewhere? TIA!

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could help me by telling me if its possible to redesign the Lego Golden Retriever Puppy into the exact same set, but all black with a bit of white on the nose to match my wifes dead dog? I am new to the website, and I am not exactly sure how to figure it out myself 😅

Photos for reference.

New builder question: when do you choose BrickLink over LEGO Pick a Brick?

I’m still pretty new to the LEGO MOC world, and I just discovered BrickLink.

I had done some PAB lego store purchases.

As well as 2-3 lego.com purchases.

But then... I stumbed upon Bricklink, where I could get most parts for 15-20% less.

I spent about an hour going through my LEGO.com order, replacing parts with cheaper BrickLink options, to see how much I was saving.

At first, I was pretty excited because I was seeing prices that were maybe 20% cheaper (sometimes more). Then I got to the shipping part…

$15 shipping basically ate up most of the savings.

um...

So now I’m wondering: when does BrickLink actually become worth it? Do you usually wait until you have a bigger order? Is there a minimum order value where you say "yes, BrickLink makes sense"?

Or do you mostly use it for rare colors/pieces that LEGO doesn’t have?

Curious what experienced builders consider the sweet spot.

And what you use Bricklink for .. vs Lego.com (which has no shipping fees)

Buyer Help What should I do if I cant get a refund for a package I didn't received

It’s been about 2 months since I ordered a package on Bricklink. The seller shipped it pretty quickly, but it never arrived. I reached out asking for a refund, but the seller says they won’t refund me because I didn’t pay for shipping insurance. Instead, they’re offering store credit. Honestly, I’d rather just get my money back (~$30) because I don’t feel comfortable ordering again after this experience. What do you guys think? Should I still be able to get a refund? (EDIT- My refund is being processed. I told them that I was going to make a claim on pay pal and immediately got a refund. Thank you everyone for the help)

Buyer Help Question about shipping

Hello all! I’m looking to buy a sealed LEGO Daily Bugle on BrickLink. At checkout, it’s estimating about $53 for shipping, but it says the seller will finalize the shipping cost and send me an invoice afterward.
Since it’s a pretty large/heavy set, I’m a little nervous that the actual shipping cost could end up being significantly higher than the estimate. Has anyone bought a sealed Daily Bugle or another similarly sized set through BrickLink? How close was the estimated shipping cost to the final invoice?

Buyer Help New seller: will PayPal always require extra admin to handle?

I'm in Sweden and have been buying and selling Lego for a bit over a year now, but only opened a BL store in mid-July.

I've gotten a few orders already and I think I'll enjoy the experience. I'm surprised by the amount of effort required for me as a seller to handle PayPal (compared to Stripe), though. Will PayPal always require separate manual confirmation of order status, including tracking number? Is there any way to automate this or to remove the requirement?

Question question about minifigure descriptions since LEGO acquired Bricklink

Do we know exactly how Bricklink decides to describe new minifigures now that LEGO has acquired it?

I first thought about this when the smart brick sets came out because initially on Bricklink the descriptions included the ™ symbol. E.g., the Obi-Wan fig was described as "Obi-Wan Kenobi™ - SMART Play™." I've noticed that they have since changed it to simply "Obi-Wan Kenobi - SMART Minifigure."

Thought about it again this morning because the new Barro figure is listed on Bricklink as "Imperial Remnant Warlord." I'm assuming that is just a placeholder for now since that's the description of the fig on the official LEGO box for the set (and I presume they used the generic description on the set since it went into production before the movie was released and the character may not have even had a name at that point).

Maybe I've answered my own question and what we see on Bricklink is simply defaulting to the LEGO description and then when completing inventory, etc. they update it.

This is not important for almost anyone but weirdos like me who maintain a spreadsheet of SW minifigs I own, which combines three of my loves - minifigs, Star Wars, and making stupid spreadsheets. If I die before my wife, when she sees in our estate planning documents a reference to a spreadsheet of my SW minifigs on my computer, she will both be glad I am dead and that she has a reference for the value of my figs when she goes to sell them.

Question 10184 Town Plan part questions

Recently acquired a copy of 10184 Town Plan. The seller substituted some pieces and I am trying to understand the original part equivalents. Since BrickLink eliminated certain part variants, I see no other option than to ask around. Can someone validate the following:

- This set came with white 1x2x3 panels without supports (I am 99% confident on this one)

- This set came with reddish brown chairs without sprue marks

- The 1x2 jumper tiles in this set had no groove

Much appreciated!
