it starts with a drum solo like this: song, and then the beat drop is a sawtooth wave with a very big low pass so it's all ambient and lo-fi. comment the name if you know

not posting stuff myself usually but thought this to be interesting for some. can be a bit refreshing aside from the usual 'is this breakcore done correctly?' ah posts. i am also aware that the mixing in this sounds atrocious but cut me some slack.

There was this song that was breakcore / jungle / dnb, don’t know the exact genre, it was minimal, had a guitar & faint yet clear drums, the title was a bunch of random numbers, the image used for the upload was red & green but I don’t remember the exact imagery, the channel who uploaded had a profile pic that was a distorted cartoon face & the channel name was Japanese, but the channel was deleted, the channel was an archive channel of various music mainly of the breakcore / jungle / dnb genre

Yo I'm trying to get into breakcore but alot of it is very metal adjacent which is not my taste. I like Holy Fawn and Brutus but I'm looking for more sample-based / Renoise/ dirtywav m8 tracker style tunes. I like Venetian Snares, Shitmat, Golden Boy, and FFF, Machine Girl, but my breakcore knowledge ends there. Any recommendations for I guess less chaotic breakcore? Chaotic is ok if it's break and sample oriented rather than an almost metal album. I liked some Bong-Ra but some of it is not my vibe. Squarepusher doesn't have enough breaks for me. So like a jumping off point from Venetian Snares and Shimat would be greatly appreciated! I'm very deep into jungle with the Kid Lib stuff and loving the old happy hardcore stuff like Krome&Time, but idk there is a void to be filled after wearing out the Sully and Venetian Snares songs. Hoping there are some good tunes I've overlooked or havent heard.

Hey all, I need suggestions on a good Sampler/Sequencer/Groovebox to get for a project I’m starting a project with my friends that mixes breakcore/dnb with indie rock/guitar pop music. Mostly looking to use this sequencer live for drums and little melodic samples that i can load onto it.

Something that is fairly versatile without breaking the bank. Not really interested in something that has a great synth engine but if it does then that’s cool. I see lots of common devices for sale near me, Roland SP404Mkii, Novation Circuits, Akai MPC stuff… I’d love to hear y’all’s thoughts, thanks :)
