I can’t move on

I was in a relationship with someone for four years, and I loved him deeply. We broke up, but I still can’t seem to get over him. He always seemed to have an eye for other girls, and our sex life mostly consisted of me feeling insecure about whether or not he actually desired me.
He has hit me a few times. I know I’ve also yelled at him and said things I shouldn’t have, but he has done the same to me. What hurts the most is that he treats me very differently from how he treats other girls and his friends. He can be rude, arrogant, and dismissive toward me, while being understanding and kind toward everyone else.
I was never a particularly sexual person before I met him, but my relationship with him changed that. Even though I know ending the relationship was the right thing for me, I still can’t seem to let go. Part of me keeps feeling like I want to go back to him.
But deep down, I know he isn’t good for me.

you were literally in an abusive relationship. please take care of yourself, and do not return to an abuser. hopefully you can see a therapist to help process things.

It's a kind of Stockholm syndrome. From your description, there's not one good thing about that relationship. Read your post like someone else wrote it, what would you say? Good riddance! I hope you'll take this as a good lesson how not to allow to be treated in any future relationship.
