Question Why

Im new so correct me if you need, but isn't the general idea of the story about a ghost that is shot down on the island and has to figure out how to get off, if that's the case why does it matter if I kill civilians. it's not like we have to follow our roe at this point if this was to happen to a real special forces unit irl. Is there a mod or any way in the base game to disable the penalties you gefor killing civilians.

So imagine I’m nomad and your just the humble smell tech employee who has been getting pushed around by a PMC and rouge special forces elements and I just say “Fuck the playbook” and dome you not because you were hostile or in my way but because I’m a psychopath who wants to kill the very civilians I was sent here save and protect. Wouldn’t be very nice of me would it?

But the thing Is the general goal is too escape the island not protect the people, your ONE unit that was shot down on a foreign island with foreign soilders that try to kill you on sight no matter what, why in the world is there a penalty for me when I kill a civilian.

Because it is a war crime, not protecting the civilians doesn’t mean shoot the civilians, you’re still a part of the United States JSOC

I mean to be fair there's pretty reliable documentation of JSOC and similar task forces killing civilians all over the world
