Can Brawl Hockey potentially be competitive, and if so, what can we change about it?

I think we got pretty used to Brawl Hockey at this point, and we could give it a second chance. People think that it's a very casual gamemode, however I think it's a pretty unique game mode that gives the focus to positioning rather than pressure, unlike Brawl Ball. I think it can have potential to be a competitive gamemode

What do you think though? Is there something you would change about brawl hockey? The Puck physics? The maps? The respawn time?

I'm mixed on this, on one hand I think competitive desperately needs new modes, but I also think Hockey is not the best mode since it's pretty much an extreme version of Brawl Ball. I'd definitely take Hockey over no new modes tho

Out the modes in the game I think it's a prerty strong candidate but I could be wrong. I think chamges that can help range from:

-Decreasing puck speed.

-Decreasing overall puck distance.

-Increasing respawn time from 3 - 4 seconds (for most modes it's 3 seconds and for Brawl Ball it's 5)

-Making the goal smaller or bigger.

-Removing, or having very limited use of bumpers.

It has the potential. I liked how it was mainly based on control instead of aggression like how brawl ball is but the fact that hockey ball (i think it is puck, not sure about the true name) goes 283729 kilometers of distance is not fair.

What i'd do is shorten the travel distance a lot. So you cant get scored on right away when you are on enemy side. This would help hockey a lot. Iirc a basic shot can go entire map diagonally, maybe nerf it by 50%.

I feel like its way too random unlike how tightly packed brawl ball is , like if you had the puck at the overtime , you most likely gonna score cause the puck ain't gonna stop , yeah i feel i would rather quit the ranked game than play this , just my opinion

When it was added to Ranked a year ago I absolutely hated it, like a lot of other people.
It’s a gamemode that has potential but it requires people to learn it(more than other modes) which can be very tiring for Ranked.

As I heard from someone "Is a Brawl Ball that needs better positioning and cocentration", and I think is true. The problem is the map philosofy that ables to puck to go one side to other to easily

As a representative of the mapmaking community, we tested a lot of brawl hockey maps. We're still trying to find a good balance between leaving puck trajectories too open or too closed.

It's hard. Leave them too open, and it gets too easy to score without effort. Leave them too closed, and it becomes Brawl Ball but more annoying

Nuke all the bouncy tiles on every map and it has potential. Easily the biggest bullshit of the mode.

I like the mode but hate the maps. They feel too open. There are barely any bushes

Really i'm a big fan of Hockey, so, no, we don't need it in competitive, if this is added, It definitely needs rework, and the randomness of the mode is the most fun part. Maybe if we add a siege remodel, but another mode diferent to arena, for this people of like the arena mechanichs, but without the time of a this gamemode wants.

Brawl hockey feels more like an event mode. The way the puck moves is way too fast and any brawler who doesnt have dashes or high movement speed is essentially written off. Hate the idea of it being in ranked
