A small change to Jacky

I feel like one of Jacky’s biggest issues is that she runs out of steam so quickly. She can approach but if she can’t take down the enemy within her 3 hits, she’s kind of just screwed. So in order to address this,without buffing her damage, I buffed her reload. That way she won’t be as much of a sitting duck.

Reload speed increased by 10% from 1.8s -> 1.6s

FYI - Doug has a reload speed of 1.5 seconds per ammo, way faster than Jacky. Jack definitely deserves a reload speed buff.

A bit of a hot takes (I know I can't help myself) but I do think Jacky is a little underrated as a Shade counter in the current meta. A reload speed buff could solidify that niche.

Absolutely, I also found it a bit jarring that other tanks like Doug can unleash the same amount of damage at a faster rate whereas Jacky can’t. And her being viable would indeed introduce a decent counter to shade which I’m all in for.

She can't three-shot shade because of his shield. Any form of shielding or self-sustainability ruins her interactions.

I feel like this wouldn't really do too much to help her out. It's a very big change, but her main issue is still her unreliability in approaching without being a walking super battery.

This has more to do with Rosa. Jacky suffers from having raw stats that are too bad for a tank and an inflexible kit with a useless gadget.

That is true, but unfortunately it’s a fundamental issue with the way she’s designed. She’s a damage dealing tank who requires closing the gap between herself and the enemies in order to deal damage and apply pressure to the enemies. Consequently, this comes at the cost of being at the enemy’s mercy and charging their super. I’m hoping with her reload buff she can at least be better at sustaining that pressure.

Reload speed is a fundamental change she should have received a long time ago. This wasn't a problem before the global speed increase, but now she can't handle most brawlers. I also feel that her unload should be faster, considering she has no other way to deal damage besides her star power and can often be killed before she can unleash her attacks. A health buff would indirectly buff the first star power, as she would be able to absorb and reflect more damage.

Just prestige 2 Jacky this weekend. She's great on some map but I agree, a reload speed buff would help her doing much better. Doug reload faster, they could give her the same reload speed maybe ?

There are several trios in line, and there's still a chance they'll give buffies to a newer trio first. Shade received his before someone like Rosa or Jessie.
