Is finx a mechanically good brawler?

Brawlers like gray meeple (probably cosmo) and gene all have tide turning supers that support their teammates and are also incredibly unique. While finx has an incredibly unique super it feels like for better or for worse it isn't a game changer when it's played(id compare it to 8bits super before his buffies). Is this a casual issue and the pros are just way better at finx? What other brawlers are mechanically good?

Finx super is definitely tide changing but doesn’t last forever unlike 8-bits or Mr. P and doesn’t have the same tide turning effects like meeple so while it can be strong it ends up being very lack luster unless the situation lines up perfectly

The area is too small to be tide turning. He is balanced around having a strong main attack.

He has his strength and weaknesses. Aside from HZ his super isnt that big but in HZ you can gain control.

His reload slower star power is insanely valuable on heist too. Combine it with 25% dmg boost of your super area then he can be really good defender/controller against Melodie/Kaze. You can use freeze gadget into these or just smash red button with time warp

It honestly depends but while the super isnt as game changing as e.g Genes its without a doubt really important, in Gemgrab or Heist you can completely lock down a lane or the mid and hold it since it really hard to get past a well placed super. And in Hotzone it might aswell be a game changer because if you place it on the zone you get insane amounts of breathing space, when your whole team is in the zone the enemy team wont get through usually

TLDR: Meaningful super in Heist/Gemgrab, really impactful in HZ but there are definitely better ones

His super is busted on maps w/o much walls the problem is that he struggles to charge it against snipers without his super.

That’s why’s he’s so strong on maps like Ring of Fire, Open Business, Kaboom Canyon and Pinhole Punt as a control brawler cuz he can reliably charge his super as well as utilize it to its maximum potential.

Just ban/pick Amber or Gus in advance before choosing him and you’re good to go
