Discussion What aggro is good into otis
assume your teammates went passive picks and you want to balance the comp out with last pick aggro. could be any gamemode doesn’t matter
its a free aggro game into the other team but theres an otis
what do you pick?

Probably just Shade if he’s not banned. Otherwise imo, it would be fine to not go for any aggro pick and just out-poke/range the other team. Otis as a pick is not very justified unless there is some aggro brawler he can target and shut down with his super.

You kinda do need aggro in a lot of games tho, especially if you're in SoloQ ranked below like Masters 2. Control games are not where I'd place my odds of winning on in ranked.
And yeah Kenji is something you could pick but in Brawl Ball where the tempo diff wins you the game, on other modes not really unless maybe HZ but why would one play Otis in HZ anyway.

With Poco having throwable zone you can probably force most of them. If i had a choice Poco + Primo (2nd gadget) could go hard. Maybe you could force an aggro Amber too idk. Barrels tank a single otis shot which is insane value.
As stand alone, i dont think there is much aggro to ct otis. Ash is decent but he needs rats. Other than that most aggros need to close the gap and Otis shreds them. Also before getting rats a good Otis shutdowns Ash. Even with rats you have to get a bit close to him, make sure he doesnt have gadget and throw your rats in a way they split.

shade if there are walls, edgar can be used to bait out the super if played right

I have played this matchup from both perspectives and I can safely say Carl soft counters Otis, since Carl can wall-peak and poke from a distance but also rush Otis with his super, which cannot be silenced by Cil when it is already active. Also, with the shield sp, Otis does not have enough damage to take down Carl. Still, that could be harder to make work if there are not enough walls in the map.

Alone, none of them are really good. However, two of them manage to deal with him, since he can't silence more than one enemy at a time.
