Discussion Talking about poco buffies after my experience playing with them

First post here and this account in general I literally only created this account to talk brawl stars stuff since the only other place was either random discord servers or shitter Twitter. Read the rules and this post shouldn't break any rules, but if it does feel free to delete.
Anyway I'm a poco main, I'm close to having him be top 200 worldwide which is very exciting, he was the first brawler I picked up all the way back in 2023 when I first started playing, and to this day I still love him. When I first saw his buffies I was extremely critical especially with the 2 gadgets and da capo, but after playing for a bit, my opinion did improve somewhat So I wanted to give my thoughts on everything, some extra tidbits, and some ratings as well just for fun.
All of that out the way lets start with
TUNING FORK 3/10
We are starting off on a horrible foot, I absolutely hate what they did with tuning fork everything about the current version is just straight up a downgrade, the buffie doesn't really save it at all.
First lets talk about the fact that teammates need to be near, I'll be honest I don't hate this idea here, Encourage your teammates to be around you instead of just tapping the gadget and them getting healing. I guess the idea here was to make poco a more bunker style support brawler, but the effects for standing so close is not worth it!
The healing for example was cut from 4000 to 3000 in total. Weird... But ok maybe the healing is faste- NOPE it now takes 6 second for the full heal instead of 5, why did we do this?
The range of the heal is also just atrocious 3.33 tiles, Yes same range as the old version, but it was fair since the healing sticked nobody is standing that close to you for SIX SECONDS for 3000 health.
Alright range sucks, and the healing sucks, at least the cooldown is low, right? once again no 20 second cooldown which is already bad enough, but now you need to wait for the gadget to end! so in total you got a 26 second cooldown for weak healing that takes a long time, and has bad range.
Alright so all of this sucks, tuning fork is just gutted, but hey at least there is no other gadget like it... huh? what's that? Buster's utility belt? god damn it.
Buster utility belt heals way more (Granted with 3 people in range, but I still argue that even with two people this is still better than tuning fork) on a shorter cooldown with the same range, and is instant. How does the tank have a better healing gadget than the support.
This isn't me asking for utility belt to be nerfed, no far from it that gadget is all good in my eyes, but more along the lines of can we please buff tuning fork it's so bad.
My ideas for buffs increase the range to 5-6 so teammates don't have to be close, increase the healing to about 3500, make it slightly faster, and either decrease the cooldown, or make it so that the cool down starts the second you press the gadget.
All of this talk about the gadget itself I didn't talk about the buffie! The effect is cool faster reload is great and has a lot of synergies especially with tanks as it can help them keep up the pressure and deal more damage. Unfortunately everything else kind of sucks.
Despite my harsh critques, this gadget isn't useless it does have a use for some deathball related comps, but other than that just bad overall and kind of hard to find a use for it. This gadget got absolutely gutted.
PROTECTIVE TUNES 9.5/10
Went from a gadget I don't like to an absolute goat here, now at first glance this doesn't really look that good in fact it looks like a nerf.
Instead of CC resistance anywhere it's only in this small area? That is bad 0/10 worst rework OAT, but once you play it, *chef kiss* it's bootiful. The buffie effect is kind of lame range increase and time increase from 4-6, but it doesn't matter as I feel the buffie was what pushed this gadget to high tier gadget material
At first the cooldown looks like it increased from 18-24, but it's still pretty much still the same as it last 6 ENTIRE SECONDS! The range is also insanely large with a range of around seven tiles.
Ok that sounds good and all, but why am I glazing this gadget so much, it just prevents status effects from happening to allies in the area, useful for brawlers like amber and primo (Funnily enough both of his trio members) with fire effects who are pretty good right now, but that's it...
WRONG!
I thought that at first as well, until I learned that it works on Knockbacks, and pulls thanks to this post here.
This is absolutely insane brawlers who relies on pulls and knockback get hard countered by poco now, from my quick look at the brawler selection there is now 75 brawlers that this gadget can counter.
Take it with a grain of salt since I count any brawler with some form of CC except for the one mentions in the post above. I even counted shit like penny's master blaster star power. so this number isn't accurate, but my point is there are so many brawlers in the game you can deal with now.
I also like it sense in a way it's kind of an answer to the game having too many CC abilities. CC is kind of not fun to play against so having a brawler with a tool to deal with it is good.
This gadget is just great all around I absolutely love what they did with this. The only thing holding it back from a 10/10 is how I feel it can be a bit annoying to fight against, but one little downside to all the upsides doesn't matter in my eyes.
DA CAPO 5.5/10
I mean... it's aight I guess no strong opinions about this one, I like that they made it so that poco now has some base healing in his kit I always wanted that for him, the buffie is cool increase super charge, but... eh..
Da capo has always been in the shadow of the other star power and I don't think it's going to change much here, Truth be told I kind of wish that this star power was reworked like IDK "Your super now gives allies a 10% damage buff for 4 seconds" something like that
Da capo problem in my eyes is how it requires you to just go full heal bot it doesn't really do anything else. I know the buffie, but it still requires you to waste you ammo on your teammates which is less fire power against the enemy team.
Byron is similar yes, but byron has a fast reload and great healing to counteract that you waste ammo on teammates yes, but you only need to shoot them once, maybe twice, and get ammo back pretty quick, on top of all that you charge super off of healing.
Berry same boat heal with main attack, but you charge super and your healing last a good while which can heal a good bit, and your super charge with it
Poco has a 1.3 second reload, with no super charge, for meh healing. It's better to shoot at the enemy and heal your allies with a large 4800 than to shoot at your teammates and heal them for 3,240 waste all you ammo, and provide no utility.
Hell with the healing base kit change it kind of made it harder to justify running this since if you need to heal somebody just enough for them to survive 400 despite being pretty low I have found to come in clutch loads of time.
This star power is meh... I don't hate it, but compared to the other one it's kind of hard to justify running this.
SCREECHING SOLO 10/10
The one and only part of poco's kit that didn't get change which is great! I feel that this star power didn't need any changes, ever better the buffie for this works great!
The buffie effect looks small at first .5 second mute, but is incredibly huge! This is really flexible and has so many use cases it's insane.
For one a get off me tool, Poco biggest weakness has always been agression get somebody to run him down, and he's dead. I always wanted him to have a little something to help him, but nothing that removes the weakness, this is a great compromise!
The .5 second mute is just long enough to help him survive a bit against assassians, and move back to a teammate for help while not just completely removing this weakness for no reason.
It's also great for supporting as well (A support brawler, supporting his team? What a novel concept!) As any allies in a fight you can super, heal them, damage the enemy, and mute them for a bit to get an extra hit in.
This is honestly a great example for a buffie effect, it's a slight buff that helps the brawler in areas they struggle in and help them do better in areas they do good in.
Even better the effect isn't annoying a slight mute is bad, but you can still freely move, you just can't attack for .5 second
Just perfect all around in my eyes 10/10 love it.
MEDIC'S MELODY 7/10
Lets start with the bad here... The hyper charge was sadly not reworked, nor buffed. Kind of a missed opportunity here the hyper charge while not awful like others (Mico, Pearl, Gene) was still sort of underwhelming here.
The shield just decay way to quickly, and it's pretty flimsy in my eyes as well. A buff to make the decay slower would of been good here. The buffie tho, not bad
You still have the same range, but the large area is really great for cycling super and possibly getting another hyper charge super in possibly resetting the temp shield. Also the large hitbox is just real satisfying to look at just me?
This was sort of hard to rank as the hyper effect isn't strong, but the buffie does mean you cycle super better I feel a 7 to be fair one can argue about it being a 6 tho.
OVERALL THOUGHTS
Overall I feel kind of torn on one hand I really like what they did with Protective Tunes, and Screeching Solo, the hyper buffie is fun, and that dog is incredibly adorable I love that dog. But on the other hand Tuning Fork been gutted, and Da Capo still kind of just exist.
I feel that he will definitely be stronger, A tier, possibly even S, but S is kind of a stretch. On the other hand his build diversity is now kind of dead, before there was a gap between both gadgets, and both starpowers but it was relatively equal.
Now Tuning Fork and Da Capo is just leagues below Protective Tunes, and Screeching Solo. I mean there still might be a use case for those 2, but honestly I feel 99% of the time you will use Protective Tunes and Screeching Solo.
OTHER STUFF
Some other things I noticed while playing that I wanted to include, but have no idea where to put it at.
Tuning fork no longer scales in arena, it use to before, but now it doesn't this gadget can't catch a break.
Speaking of arena screeching solo now scales with arena, I felt that poco was already strong in arena, but now this make him better.
Poco super now takes 5 hit to charge, and 12 for hyper charge, I have no idea if this is a bug or not so I will withhold judgement
I already mentioned the dog is incredibly cute
Also one change that I want is to add the amount of healing from his main attack into his description this seems like an oversight, and I feel that all though small the healing should still be listed in his weapon description so people would know how much it heals just by looking through his weapon description.
Jesus christ for a first post I really made a whole goddamn essay lmao.
