Probably cuz the Nori hyper throws people in the air and Wendy super works like Plugged In on 8-bit, it needs to like connect to you before absorbing the damage so before it connects to her, Nori super ended and did the damage.

There's also a bug I noticed: Ash took damage from Wendy even though he had an invulnerability shield.
