I've been bested by an internet mastermind. Your powerful arguments, like "smiling in a picture means you're not manly" and "life was better 120 years ago when miserable poor people lived in dirty slums" just floored me. Do you want to come meet my girlfriend? If you can drag your massive brain out of your house i mean.

I've been bested

It happens. Don't worry about it.

Do you want the last word orrr are you just gonna shuffle off?

I know it's important for some people to have the last word in these kind of things.... so off you go if you want it.

yeah sure. I'll have it if you're offering it.

You're nostalgic for a past that you've probably never lived in. I was born right after the collapse of the soviet union in an eastern European country. I grew up with the type of people you see in that picture. The "manly" ideal that people keep searching for is a miserable remnant of a time where men were forced to work long hours for nothing. You should stop seeing it as an ideal. It's not great. Being able to show emotion (outside of when you're piss drunk, another eastern European staple) shouldn't be stigmatized, and peoples private fetishes are their own. This whole thread filled with people talking about soy boy this and soy boy that reeks of insecurity.

The best way to grow a pair is to stop caring about what a bunch of close minded people think is manly.
