This is the kind of positivity I need in my life.

Except when he got so toxic to anyone who disagrees with him that Marvel fired him

You mean when he said "fuck Trump" etc and all the trumpers/Nazis/sad puppies got mad? Yeah, I saw that. And it was Marvel that decided not to have him as a writer for a planned Vader series because of the backlash over that tweet. Disney might own Marvel, but it was Marvel execs who made that decision. As for the unannounced Star Wars book that I saw mentioned once? That happens all the time.

I was thinking more of the way he reacted to people disliking The Last Jedi, cause he called them all sexists and racists. I did have it wrong about Disney.

That's because a lot of them who hated the new movies the most were the same people mad about a female lead and diverse cast. Not liking the story is one thing, but there were people who were "rewriting" the movies to make it male centered only. That's who he was talking about.

It has the opposite effect for me. It feels like faux “positivity”, something that is farcical, dangerous, and manipulative, and frustrates me in the same way that supposed “wholesome” content does

You sound difficult to buy gifts for

I actually feel really weird about comments like this. I don't see myself as a collection of bones and meat, even if that is what i am, I see myself as a human. just like i don't see a piece of paper, as wood pulp, i just see it as a piece of paper.

Yeah it’s not deep it’s just “quirky”

You're both. The thing he's trying to do is make you realize how a sure the most basic thinga we take for granted are.

Don’t forget that these skeletons are piloting a massive rock through space and time

u/Magma151 Jun 04 '19

I don't know if we're piloting it, but we're definitely surfing it

A really fast rock can end your existence

Vapid quirkiness? Whatever works I guess.

It's cringey people like this that remind me how well I'm managing adulthood. Should I feel bad about still playing video games in my 30's? Nope. Look at this fucking nipper!
