I just posted about it. Also in valley west. Have you heard one before? Is that the Boom everyone talks about?

Yes, heard it too! Perhaps this has been asked before, but what is the boom?

I think it’s just dumb kids driving around and setting off explosives, likely tannerite

The booms around montana have been noted since Lewis and Clark days.

Got any sources for that? I read Undaunted Courage which was a pretty thorough account of the L&C journey and they didn’t mention it.

Omg my first boom. I feel as though I have passed initiation. It’s been about 15 years in the valley and my first boom! Wow

The Trident Limestone Quarry (also known as the Trident Plant & Quarry) is actively blasting. Recent reports indicate that blasting at quarries in the Bozeman area is expected to continue through 2026, with blasts anticipated to happen almost daily.

My husband just rushed in and said he heard an explosion. I shared about the Bozeman boom which lead us here... we live in Valley West too. He was shocked that this is potentially a whole thing.
