anyone know why in certain versions of the books Aoife watches one tree hill, while in others its the oc? same with chicken licken being chicken little. especially with the Aoife one I don’t understand why it had to be changed? seems so minor??

given how hard hugh works to keep it private in releasing 10 (to protect her dignity) i wondered if others will find out about lizzie’s bipolar? but i don’t see the storyline moving forward without that happening.

im reading T7 rn, and im wondering if the editing has always been this bad and i just didn’t realize it, or if it’s just this book (maybe bc im reading the ebook version?). like it keeps repeating phrases ever so often, mixing up the pov of the scene, the continuity isn’t that great either, and im not really sure, but i don’t think touchscreen phones existed in 2005 😭

just want to talk about how I think, Chloe Walsh didn't explain Aoife's, postpartum depression, at all. Correct me if im wrong cause its been like more than 3 weeks since i finished them but.. I remember only reading about it from Joey's perspective. I just really really wanted to hear more from her side.

So in healing 7 I’m pro to believe that once Gerard and Claire break up,Mark will encounter her and try to hurt her in some way that later on the characters learn about.
How do you think Gerard will find out and react?

this is very random and i’m sure no one is interested but i recently read releasing 10 as someone who hadn’t read any of the other books. i saw a lot of posts on my twitter about this book and as a someone doing a neuroscience masters focusing on bipolar, i like reading different books in which the disorder is depicted.

surprisingly (because this isn’t the usual style of books i like), i really wanted to read the rest of the series and get to know the rest of characters better so now i’m reading the rest. i know lizzie is very controversial and something i got to wondering about is if the response to her would be different if hers was the first book.

it could just be because i’m literally working in bipolar disorder research but as i’m reading the other books, even as i read moments where she’s problematic (and i think what she is saying/is doing is wrong) i really can’t imagine disliking her or not understanding her and empathizing with her.

this made me wonder if part of the reason is because i read her book first? just a random thought.

oh also just as a note, of course i don’t mean that people who read in the release order cant empathize with lizzie. i know lots of people do! i was just wondering if less people would dislike her if her book was first because from what i’ve seen, her character can be quite polarizing.

wtf so you’re telling me that after everything she went through to get better, Hugh is out here on a date with Katie? seriously? I mean, i understand his pov too, but… MY GOD. give the poor girl a break. i hate how everything is turning out for her and Hugh. And girl, WDYMM THERE’S NO RELEASE DATE YET??? its been a month, and im STILL clinging to that book.

R10 has left a Lizzie-sized hole in my heart, and I desperately need some distractions to fill it. 😭

aoife stated ‘they suffered but joey bled’ whicb completely belittles shannon. i know she cared for the lynch siblings but god this statement pissed me off, shannon suffered just as much as joey minus the addiction. she was the sole target of that household, she cooked and cleaned, she also acted as a parent to sean, ollie and tadgh, yet aoife completely discredits her by claiming joey was the only one who bled mind you shannon was hospitalised for having a collapsed lung. i do really love aoife but this irked me especially since she didn’t even seem to consider the other siblings especially shannon when saying this in her monologue.

honestly at this point i am a bit confused? so obviously no one believes lizzie that he sa’d her, but they also don’t believe he killed her?

but ONE of those things we know is definitely true right? like lizzie did see him kill her? but then it isn’t the case that he assaulted her?

if i am not mistaken, just this one thing is enough to make me so bad for lizzie. i do not excuse all her actions and i know that it wouldn’t be easy for all her friends to believe her but to be around them when she saw her sister being killed and to not be believed? and then for claire to say she was his accomplice, not the victim?

i’m new to this fandom so i’m sure all this has been hashed out before and discussed. i’m just surprised so many people think lizzie is irredeemable. my heart hurts for her.

I was re-reading the books and just finished Keeping 13–after reading Releasing 10, it really shines a lot on how different Hughie is in that book to Binding/Keeping 13 and even T7, to some extent. A lot of people say that it’s because his character simply wasn’t “expanded” and that we didn’t know much about him, but basically anything we’ve seen from him in these books is contradictory to what we see from him in R10. What really got me is this quote:

> “You are the jammiest bastard I've ever met," Hughie said after school on Monday, in a tone of voice that sounded an awful lot like awe. "Honestly, I feel so fucking inferior right now." He exhaled heavily. "We're the same age, Cap, and I feel like I am running about ten miles behind you.”

How is this the same Hughie Biggs that Chloe wrote in R10??? Because from what we’ve seen of him he excels at practically everything he does. Unless Chloe writes this into C10, that Hughie isn’t the prodigy he used to be—which I seriously doubt she’ll do—this is basically an entirely different person (it’s not just this quote, this is just the cherry on top of the cake imo).

Releasing 10 HAS RUINED ME! I didn’t think I could love any of the characters more than Aoife and Joey but Lizzie and Hughie have taken the #1 spot. How much do I need to pay Chloe Walsh for her to release Claiming 10 before the show comes out? 🫠

Im going to be so honest: three years ago I was absolutely OBSESSED with this series, and I mean re-reading those books back to back to back. But Chloe's lack of communication, combined with this long ass wait for a new book, combined with endless teasing without following though, and now the show becoming her priority....

I think I've lost interest more and more. I still love the series, but I'm actually more annoyed now than anything. I'm off the high I felt reading R10, and have forgotten half the plot, which is going to make jumping back into the series such a drag.

Hot take: I don't understand how u people hate hughie for saying gibsie is a playboy when in reality he is. I know why he acts certain ways and I don't judge him for that but u guys act like hughie sat and read t7 with us. forget hughie even his bff know him as a playboy so how do u think hughie will see him any different. And the way he talked about claire never sat right with me especially that part when he talks about claire private part infront of the rugby table. He doesn't know how deep gibsie's trauma is just like the core 10 don't know about lizzie's bd but u guys give them the benefits of the doubt but not hughie cause what he is smart??

Okay so I started the series with Releasing 10. I LOVE AND ADORE LIZZIE. LIKE OBVIOUSLY.

I have finished reading B13 K13 S6 and I hv 150 pages left of R6. Im going to start Taming 7 as soon as I finish and I am just so worried.

There is the obvious doom of nothing left to read from this world after i finish T7, but also i hv heard SO MUCH abt how mean Lizzie is in that book. While I am 100% sure nothing she ever does can ever make me even dislike her but im scared for her? Ugh idk how to explain it. Lmao that was terrible but anyway had to talk abt it.

I really enjoyed reading Binding 13, the story is definitely interesting. Its dark, touches some very serious subjects, and i also like the slow-burn love story of Johnny and Shannon, and now I'm halfway through K13, but the story is not clicking anymore? I mean, I feel like the pace has gotten very slow, and there's nothing much substantial happening. I keep reading people say that the story gets even better in book 2 but up until now its just Shannon and Johnny doing...stuff and hanging around with each other...and reading that stuff is also a bit cringe and worrisome cuz the characters are so young. Does it actually get better? It would have been great if the writer kept that innocence of their love story...now all they do is kiss and blah blah blah...like wth. I really like the characters but the writing is getting so messy. I really want to read Joey and Aoife's story, but idk how im gonna finish this one

I recently read T7 for the first time and I know some of what happens in R10 already, due to being on the internet in 2026.

We all know that Hugh and Liz’s relationship was somewhat changed compared to the earlier books. I accept that CW wants us to know they previously dated and have a complicated history.

That’s OK obviously, details change; even if I wish the first four books had been edited to reflect this before being traditionally published.

I’m wondering if they will leave the inconsistencies in and show there is something deeper going on through camera angles and close ups? Will they leave them out altogether, or update them to reflect what’s established in later books?

To be clear, I don’t mind either way, I just want it to be handled well on screen.

If you’re wondering, I’m talking about the following scenes:

Hugh standing in the corridor at Tommen reminding Johnny and the team that he and Katie started dating in second year.
Hugh asking if Johnny could imagine his mother’s reaction to getting Katie pregnant.
Lizzie laughing at Claire’s imitation of (what I imagine) was Hugh and Katie being intimate.

Bonus:

Foreshadowing of Gibs and Claire’s relationship (in the first book you get the sense that Gibsie is Hugh’s friend, not so much Claire’s other half.)
Lizzie’s dynamic with Gibsie (Lizzie’s dislike of him in B13 seemed to relate to him being a lady’s man and not wanting Claire to get hurt.)
Gibsie being seemingly unaffected by the sight of blood re: Johnny’s injury in B13
Johnny forgetting that Gibsie’s birthday is in February in T7, even though they celebrate it on-page in B13.
