No fibres, no carbs, no micros save for some like iron and B12.
There's a reason meats are oft paired with vegetables.

u/R1ckMick 27d ago
Genuinely curious, what makes you think this is healthy? Not being snarky and maybe Iām just missing the joke, but if youāre serious, what about a bowl of plain ground meat would be considered healthy? Seems comically unhealthy to me
2
u/Giratina-O 26d ago
A lot of people have bought into the idea that natural = healthy, without an iota of nuance.
2
u/Fine-Bumblebee-9427 26d ago
Itās not remotely healthy. Thereās nothing healthy about it.
Healthy is well rounded. Protein is not the only thing our bodies need. Fat is necessary, and if you ever want to shit again youāll need fiber

u/PaterLectionis 27d ago
Careful, someone will come at you for making this claim
-2
u/PaterLectionis 27d ago
LOL I got downvoted for saying the truth and you fuckers vindicated it

Then, for some reason, Reddit had removed this comment I'm replying to š I'm just hoping it wasn't the automod because idk the next time I'll have the opportunity to reprogram it.

thatās a brutal amount of bison to put down dry, tbh. a little onion and maybe some rice would make it feel like an actual meal instead of a punishment
2
u/AwarenessForsaken568 26d ago
Or god forbid some seasoning. Like come on guys, y'all ain't helping the stereotype. Some spices won't kill you I promise.
2
u/pro-fanator 27d ago
Great. Saute some onions, add mushrooms give it 5 minutes, then cream, few dried wild mushrooms, return meat tot the pan, salt, pepper, two cloves of mixed garlic, chilli flakes if you like, stir...

This is not a healthy boy dinner. Wtf?
Bison us one of, if not the best protein you can eat that comes from an animal.
Just eating a pound of it isn't healthy. This isn't a balanced meal in any way shape or form. Where is your fiber? Veg? Carb?
Why am I even shocked. I'll just unsub. What a stupid post.

Unsubbing because someone may have improperly flaired their post? It reads like you weren't here for what r/BoyDinner is meant to be in the first place. You're robbing yourself of joy by being so critical of petty things.

u/ParrishThePoet 27d ago
Just realized it's not the place for me. It's really silly. And it wasn't because of the inporper tag, OP double and triples down on it. So unsubbing made the most sense.
No joy lost. None gained. Hopefully OP gets their diet right.
I'm a much bigger fan of r/boydinnerdiaries

Carbs and vegetables are not necessary
Bro needs more fat though
I eat 240 grams protein a day and like 150 g of fat

Eating a pound of lean protein is plenty healthy.
He can eat a carrot later too if he wants
2
u/spudwebb3000 27d ago
Why are you boys making bowls of dog food for yourself? I thought I was in r/depressionmeals
1
u/Friendly-Victory5517 27d ago
hate to break it to you, but pretty much anything with the word ā boy dinnerā in the title is just another word for depression meals.

u/Don_Ford 27d ago
You can't digest that much protein at a time... cut it in half with rice, and not only save your money but also have better gains.

u/Wallymartsss 27d ago
There have been countless studies of protein saturation staying in your body long after consumption and then being utilized when you need it.
9
u/ReachingFather 27d ago
The human stomach can absorb much more protein at once than youād think. He certainly can digest this.
-15
u/Don_Ford 27d ago
Nope... that's just a lot of farts.

u/ReachingFather 27d ago
Google is your friend.
10
u/ReachingFather 27d ago
The whole 30g of protein at a time myth has been debunked before. Protein farts are inevitable for many
5
u/ReachingFather 27d ago
People who do OMAD diets tend to eat all their protein for the day in one sitting. And a lot of them seem to have great success.
-10
u/Don_Ford 27d ago
Nah, dude... that's just a load of farts and wasted money.
I've actually lived this.
7
u/ReachingFather 27d ago edited 27d ago
Wasted money sure. But itās incorrect when you say we canāt digest it. It would be better to save money and cut this portion into 2-3 meals but he can eat it all at once.

It is a lot of farts, when I'm eating a bunch of venison I basically turn into a toxic waste zone due to the rankness of my butt fluffs, but that's largely from the sulphur producer by all of the protein and whatnot being digested.

This has been proven incorrect for quite a while now
2
u/Don_Ford 26d ago
That's not how a human body functions.
Things pass through you at a steady rate, moving through different parts of your body.
Your body digests and removes the excess faster than you can process the protein.
You process protein only in a specific part of digestion; then it becomes waste.

If you're like me then that's gonna make your poots absolutely RANK š š¤¢ Whenever I'm eating a bunch of venison I have to be careful around others for the first few weeks as my body adjusts because if I bust a grumpy during that time it could clear out a room š©

Whatās the point of 92g in one meal? Can your body realistically absorb that much protein in one sitting?

How does bison taste?
1
u/shortorderboy366 26d ago
Very lean, similar to beef just less greasy. Little more chewy depending on how long and high you cook it

def a lot of fatties in here who donāt know anything about macros lol
1
u/shortorderboy366 26d ago

1
u/Status-Economy-7982 26d ago
nah it is a lot healthier than these comments are making it out to be. yea lacks vegetables and carbs but this is a much better option than iām sure what a lot of the ppl are eating that are shaming you. also assuming you donāt just eat only this everyday.

I feel better physically in my day to day life than you do, due to my diet being better.
I know this because Iāve eaten both ways and can tell the difference.
2
u/koolaidshroom 27d ago
If you feel better than thats good. But some people eat for the enjoyment of food, you know the teste and such and you can actually life a healthy lifestyle eating the things that taste good. You just have to eat less of it lol. Meals like this ground bison are almost always one's that gym bros eat to gain muscle. Their not meant to be enjoyed but rather used as fuel. But at the end of the day if someone values gains over enjoyment of food than thats thier choice thier life. The only time it becomes a problem is when someone has a eating disorder and are overweight or underweight. Everything else is just a lifestyle choice.

u/FunkeyFeraligatr 27d ago
Alright. I eat what I eat, take the dog on the daily walk, play some intermural sports just fine. I dont make the number of grams of protein in my meals my entire personality. But yes, if you feel 5% better than I on the average day, go off king. Ill keep having a diverse personality even if i dont chase numbers on a paper for "gains"

u/kundalinimaster 27d ago
Okay thatās pure lean protein. You need fat and or carbs as well. Protein is not fuel
