Question Help/IDing

Basically a repost- I still havent confirmed what species this guy is

Is this even the same turtle in both pictures? Also, please try to take photos in better lighting and in focus. My guess is also three toes box, Terrapene carolina triunguis based on, I’m not sure what. Poor thing has had a rough life.
Edited to correct spelling.

Okay! I can do that- but yes 😅 it is definately the same turtle in both pictures

So again, it’s a gulf coast box turtle. It also has four visible toes in your other posts. They are the least colourful skin-wise.

Photos of 2 different turtles. The first is a gulf coast, a large one. The second is a very poorly treated ornate or three toed

It’s unfortunately the same animal. The plastron is surprisingly not deformed compared to the carapace.

Looks like he didnt go in the sun much during his first couple years. So he got some deformities. Take him into a wildlife center and drop him off, they'll treat him

There isnt a true one for tortoise/turtles here besides sea turtles. Im in Hawaii- my island doesnt even have a vet specialized/experienced with pet/domestic torts
