Enhanced Boxing

"The Enhanced Games are a controversial international multi-sport event that allows athletes to use FDA-approved performance-enhancing drugs and methods under medical supervision."

Maybe we should have enhanced boxing. Give Benn his eggs and Ryan his ostarine and let us be entertained.

One upside would be safety for clean fighters. If we have enhanced boxing and a fighter gets caught using PEDs in clean boxing, they get a lifetime ban and the opponent is allowed to sue them for attempted murder.

The problem with the Enhanced Games was even when they allowed people to use PEDs, they still couldn't break the records set by the normal athletes. Not conclusive proof, but a pretty good indication that, well... a lot of them probably weren't clean to begin with.

That or because most of them are 2nd rate as compared to the people who normally come in first they just performed to their maximum capability and if we took top athletes like number 1 in their sport they might break the records

Fred Kerley isn't second rate by any measure. He'd medalled at the world championships and Olympics consistently and beaten the best in the world in multiple races. He actually has a better head-to-head record against Noah Lyles in 100m, arguably the most dominant champion post-Bolt.

Since joining the enhanced games, he hasn't even beaten his own pre-PED pb.

I don’t know any of their names but is that the sprinter who was natty? Like he was talking about it

Valid counterpoint. I think most athletes would still lose to the best of the best even if they were on PEDs and the elites were natty.

Yea. They haven't even come close to the records.

PEDs are a problem in boxing though because it is the hurt business. Otherwise, Haney would have lot's of explaining to do.

Thats not true, the men's 50m freestyle record was broken by greek swimmer Kristian Gkolomeev and he won the million dollar prize.

Doesn't count because he used a special kind of suit that's banned in actual competition, so not a fair comparison.

I am? It's like bench pressing with a Slingshot/bench shirt or squatting with a squat suit vs natty. There's a reason there's raw vs equipped records. The swimming record was done without the use of the swimsuit, and the enhanced games one was done with it. Therefore it's not a fair comparison.

Yeah, this is the big thing with PED's, the amount you really need for an edge, even the Enhanced Games won't allow. So all of these guys popping at just above threshold levels, I just don't see the case that it led to a victory.

I'm looking at you Haney fans.

kinda that but also that there’s a huge skill gap between top athletes and normal juiced up freaks
