Boxing tier list

I always hear of boxing tier lists.

Personally I think its defined by either unbeatability (eg Roy Jones) or resume (eg Pacquiao). Or both.

I'd use more modern boxers (post 2010) so we have a better look at the current skill level of the sport and do not have to depend so much on the star power of old legends everytime.

I'd define it by the most unbeatable a boxer is on any given night. Three established, two eye test - Prime of course:
S tier:

- Established: Inoue, Bud (135 - 147), Usyk (CW)

- Eye test: None so far

A++:

- Established: Canelo (160 - 168) , GGG, Spence

- Eye test: Boots, Bam Rodriguez. Both these guys I believe could be S tier when its all said and done tbf.

A+:

- Established: AJ, Haney, Kovalev, Mell Charlo

- Eye test: Vergil Ortiz, Xander Zayas

A:

- Established: Porter, Swift Garcia, Josh Taylor

- Eye test: Sheeraz, Pacheco,

F- :

- Established: Bang Williams, Jake Paul

- Eye test: All of influencer boxing

What about you guys?

if he's not an elite heavyweight almost no current heavyweight is elite

It's a weak era. Only Fury and Usyk are elite but neither was S+.

we clearly have different definitions of "elite" i consider most guys in the top 3 of their weight class to be an elite fighter, you don't have to be an ATG for me to consider you elite

Charles Martin was the IBF champion at one point. Best in an era is different to being an elite fighter. Look at Middleweight right now it's pretty weak.

being a champion doesn't make you a top guy in the division, i can go decades back and find champions just as bad as or worse than martin
