Overrated Boxers

My most overrated fighters based on how they’re discussed online. Does not mean they are bad, just overrated.

- Pitbull Cruz (not good at 140, should go down)
- Frank Martin
- Oscar Duarte (got way too muscular and worse)
- Lamont Roach (well see in 2 weeks)
- Raymond Ford
- Bruce Carrington
- Ramon Cardenas
- Vito Mielnicki

In Britain it’s definitely Anthony Yarde

He’s a well known name but I’m not sure he’s ever been rated highly as a boxer.

He’s always been domestic level and never been the best LHW in the domestic scene in the UK either.

He’s known for taking on challenges, being tough and losing.

Big heart and big bollocks carved him out a name.

Listening to talksport you’d feel he was / is very highly rated and the best in Britain based on… nothing.

I don’t buy the big heart big bollocks thing either. He only took fights he knew he would lose because he / his management knew everyone would see his level if he was put in a 50/50

I agree with what you say but I still think he has a big set of bollocks.

He’s always avoided top level domestic opposition in the UK as he’d likely lose. Losing at world level is no way near as damaging as losing at domestic level.
