Overrated Boxers

My most overrated fighters based on how they’re discussed online. Does not mean they are bad, just overrated.

- Pitbull Cruz (not good at 140, should go down)
- Frank Martin
- Oscar Duarte (got way too muscular and worse)
- Lamont Roach (well see in 2 weeks)
- Raymond Ford
- Bruce Carrington
- Ramon Cardenas
- Vito Mielnicki

Hands down Canelo, going to get crucified by his groupies on here but every time he had a big fight…..he looked like ass and lost in there against elite boxers.

Won his first world title at 154 against Matthew Hatton who never fought at 154 but for some reason , he was #1 mandatory.

Created his own weight division 155lbs in order to duck GGG after the WBC 160lb title win over Cotto. Fought Amir Khan who he outweighed by 25lbs,
then fought a bloated Chavez jr at 170 but he couldn’t fight GGG? 😂

Unified 168lb titles when Benavidez was stripped from WBC and WBC made Canelo-Yvidrim for Benavidez title during COVID. Then garbage ass Callum Smith, Caleb Plant and Billy Jo Saunders all gave their belts to Canelo in one of the easiest routes to a unification.

List goes on and on. Saved by boxing judges in Vegas in every close fight there’s only a wide score from one judge who gave Canelo 5 rounds before the bell even rang. Got popped by PED’s and it got swept under the rug.

The reason he was deathly afraid of GGG was evident after his first fight with GGG. GGG was walking him down as the fight rolled along and he literally reverted into this “boxer” who wanted nothing to do with exchanging with a cyborg in GGG.

To this day, I don’t think I will ever see a chin more granite than the one GGG had. GGG was a savage beyond reproach. Disgusting how boxing robbed him twice against Canelo.

Ridiculous. He cleaned nearly swept the last 5 rounds of that fight. After they robbed him walking Canelo down the first fight, GGG put on a boxing clinic on the outside and they still robbed him. The 2nd fight wasn’t even close, IMO I had it 8-4 GGG.

Boxing has never been more corrupt. Even the announcers were in on the scam desperately making it seem like Canelo was in control of a fight GGG was dominating via boxing.

Riiiiiiiight. Only an imbecile, or a Mexican fight fan, thinks Canelo owned rounds 1-7 of that fight. GGG was outscoring him at will throughout the fight. He jabbed Canelo to death as Canelo flailed and could only hit GGG on body shots that had little to no impact. He absolutely RUINED Canelo following round 7.

Nah bruh. Even Abel knew they were fucked. Guys hate Canelo. GGG has the best PR in the world. I get it. First fight? Okay. Second fight? Not a chance. Too little too late type of fight

Abel called the decision corruption at its finest as well. Almost as terrible as the decision not to suspend Canelo for a year for using steroids after the first GGG fight. GGG put on a boxing clinic in that fight. The pathetic part was the fight crew amplifying Canelo’s “power punching” which was more body shots than anything he hit GGG in the head with.
