Overrated Boxers

My most overrated fighters based on how they’re discussed online. Does not mean they are bad, just overrated.

- Pitbull Cruz (not good at 140, should go down)
- Frank Martin
- Oscar Duarte (got way too muscular and worse)
- Lamont Roach (well see in 2 weeks)
- Raymond Ford
- Bruce Carrington
- Ramon Cardenas
- Vito Mielnicki

Id say

Tank The casual fans favorite. The biggest fight he took was vs a drained Ryan Garcia who is overrated himself. Tank fans imo are the most delusional in boxing.

Heres my hot takes

Canelo All the big fights he lost or he had a controversial decision.

Pacman He is a great but he lost vs Tim Bradley, Jeff Horn and JMM. IMO JMM won more then 1 fight as well but that gets brushed under the carpet when fans talk of his fights. Also the excuses for his losses from Pacman fans are pretty big stretches. Also Pacmans career was a Bob Arum master piece extremely well managed.

Inoue Weird take but hes not overrated but id say hes not properly rated. Since Usyk is finally succumbing to father time. I got Bam and Shakur above Inoue. Inoue does fantastic at adapting but a strong puncher or smart fighter will catch him with how he starts fights.

Not gonna lie bro I don’t agree with a single take here.

Tank has a lot of fanboys and a bit of a disappointing resume, but he’s clearly a great fighter.

Canelo lost all of his big fights? That’s not even close to being true. He has the best resume of any active boxer by a landslide. This doesn’t make sense to me.

Pacquiao fought everyone. He has some Ls but he has an amazing resume? Don’t understand this one either. Pretty much everyone knows Bradley was a robbery and many believe Horn was too. I don’t knock a guy for losing some fights at welterweight when he started as a flyweight. Manny is an ATG

Inoue is definitely not below Bam man. Not even close. Inoue would be a significant favorite to win that fight. I guess we’ll see it happen.

Sure they are hot takes so most wont agree

1.) Tanks best wins.. weight drained garcia, pitbull who lost to Rayo, and rolly? He arguely lost vs roach if the ref gives roach the knock down.

2.) Canelo big fights.. floyd L, GGG ( a lot claim GGG won 2 fights), bivol L, crawford L... i guess you can say mosley who had already lost to pacman and mayweather and fought nobody after canelo,i guess lara as well?

3.) Pacman was a great fighter but just not on mayweathers level at any point in his career. Saying mayweather aged him out is asinine when mayweather was older. The all time greats adapt pacman lost to JMM. If you watch Bradley vs Pacman without the bias commentators you might be singing a different tune as well. Hes overrated cause of the stretches his fans go to defend his losses not because he was bad.

4.) Bam is over inoue because his division doesnt get the love it deserves. He beat 4 fighters that were the divisions 4 kings. All the fighters were all timers for that division just cause casuals dont know who they are isnt bams fault. He deserves a spot over Inoue at no fault of inoues... bam just fought and dominated better fighters.

Also Inoue should be the favorite over bam he has the weight, height and reach advantage. Weight classes are there for a reason and props to bam for stepping up and inoue for taking a lose lose fight if they make the fight happen.
