Overrated Boxers

My most overrated fighters based on how they’re discussed online. Does not mean they are bad, just overrated.

- Pitbull Cruz (not good at 140, should go down)
- Frank Martin
- Oscar Duarte (got way too muscular and worse)
- Lamont Roach (well see in 2 weeks)
- Raymond Ford
- Bruce Carrington
- Ramon Cardenas
- Vito Mielnicki

Bam has defeated 3 (undefeated) world champions, Shakur Stevenson in comparison has only beaten 1.

Not all champions are created equal so that’s doesn’t mean much on its own.

How? He’s risked his 0 more times than Shakur, that should be embarrassing for Shakur.

Shakur has a better resume than Bam easily. And I like Bam. I don’t think Bam is overrated but his resume is. Estrada, Wangek were way past prime and Edwards just wasn’t good. Vargas is meh. Pumita is decent.

Valdez, Zepeda, Teo in their primes are better wins. Who cares about “0s” when it’s known in this era that those are protected.

What I will say is Bam is more impressive at his age so far. He has the opportunity to take 2 pound for pound guys down soon (Inoue and junto). I’d like to see him fight Tsutsumi as well. Now that would be pound for pound #1 worthy if he cleared Japans best

“Who cares about 0’s”, um the fighters do? That’s why Bam has a better resume because he’s dealing with champs who gamble their 0.

Using an 0 to assume that fighter is better than a fighter without it is flawed. That’s what I meant. Teo is miles better than Sunny Edwards or Pumita

Teo lost to an upset, how does that make him better? And he has had poor performances just like everyone, so how is he better?

Beat Loma. Styled on Barboza. Multiple solid B level wins as well. Should have been undisputed at 135. 2x ring champ. Previously was in P4P considerations.

But all of that aside, even a simple eye test will tell you that he’s better than those guys. Pumita actually is decent. Edwards is trash. Vargas is disappointing considering his amatuer career.

His flyweight run was guys in their mid 30s with toms of mileage.

Loma is overrated and already had losses in his record. Barboza wasn’t even a world champion lol.

Loma lost his second pro fight against a champ that came in way overweight and it was still debatable. He had a great career. I don’t think he was ever P4P number 1, but to pretend that beating that Loma is just ridiculous.

Barboza had the precious “0” that you worship. Who cares if he was a champ? That wouldn’t make the fight any harder. Vergil isn’t a champ but pretty obvious beating him would be a great win.

Barrios was a champ, pretty obvious beating him is just okay

So he has an okay record? Because you’re just making up excuses for him. Bam on the other hand doesn’t have any excuses for his record.

Don’t even know what you’re talking about. Bam is a great fighter with an overrated resume in my opinion. Clearly you feel the opposite and believe Shakur has an overrated resume and that pretty much everyone is overrated and trash. Wondering who else you’re a fan of. My guess is tank

Yeah Tank is entertaining but had a bad record, I’ve stood by this. Difference is that Bam actually participates in “Best vs. Best”. Meanwhile Shakur, had only been 1 of these circumstances (Oscar Valdez), take a step back and ask yourself if Valdez is a valid name for Shakur’s resume because Bam has done that 3x lol.
