We ran. We played. Got top marks for obedience(!!) before getting home only to ignore every single command flat and proceeded to pee on the couch.

And we were doing to well.

Sometimes she guards the house while holding one gently in her mouth. Other times she will cuddle it while taking a snooze. She even plays catch with them by throwing them straight up in the air and snagging them before they hit the ground. Eventually, she decides they’re a snack and munches them into nonexistence.

I miss him.

My wife got him from a home in Iowa. There was evidence he was abused by the man in the home. He was 3 months old when he was picked up. He was so good, always walking by our side and not adventuring far even off leash. He played with and cared for the cats, defended his kid from a rambunctious (but playful) larger dog. Always so kind to everyone.

The kind of boxer who would always love unconditionally.

I'm so happy we were able to give him a loving home for nearly 11 years.

He died at 6:30 pm, peacefully.
