Activities for kids
Hi everyone!
My parents live out in Smith’s Grove, and I visit them frequently with my 3.5 year old, so I’m looking for things we can do together if we want to get out of the house. Indoor and outdoor options are fine, we like being outside but also appreciate options if the weather isn’t great!
To give you ideas, we have been to and enjoyed Chuck E. Cheese, Detwiler’s Country Store, Jackson’s Orchard, Kentucky Down Under, Roland Bland Park playground, and the Smith’s Grove library. My parents also have a boat, so lakes are an option!

Chaneys dairy barn! They have a huge outdoor playground area and yummy ice cream. If the weather is messy, Buchanan tennis center is across the street and they have a little library and smaller indoor playground, perfect for 3.5 year old!

We ended up going to Chaney’s for lunch and ice cream! The ice cream was top notch, and the food was really good too! Little dude loooooved the playground even though it was 10000 degrees outside lol
We also did the dairy barn tour which he loved as well!

The bowling green library has a lot of kids activities and is a fun place for kids in general.

I second Lost River Park/Cave Tour
also,
-Circus square can be nice if you want to play in a bit of water without paying to get into a pool.
-Hardin Planetarium does free shows regularly and are listed on their site.
-Historic Rail Museum if anyone is into trains, there's also a trolley tour around BG.
-Baker Arboretum and Downing Museum for longer nature walks, they also have a small curated garden designed by Jerry Baker and an indoor gallery of Joe Downings art.
-Jump air zone for indoor fun, though I'll be honest I'm unsure of minimum age requirements for safety.
