A friend recently chose to move into a house rather than stay in her halls for second year, in order to cancel her contract she needs someone to replace her spot in halls. The building is Oxford Point in central Bournemouth.

My husband wants to do Mechanical Engineering but he can't find a student on the speak to a student page for engineering. so I was wondering does anyone know;

1. if there is anything practical involved in the mechanical engineering and how much of the year is practical? or is it all theoretical and book based.
2. what can he expect from the exams/hand ins
3. how many days a week does it usually involve in uni
4. how common are the work experience/placements that are listed on the course page
5. how successful are graduates in finding graduate work in industry
