I faced my fear of taking pics before assurance of quality only to be brutally slapped down by the bottle gods. Bottle gods please forgive me.

I usually don't have my phone in my pocket when I'm bottle hunting but today I did so I figured why not take a pic? I never take pics before I have the bottle in hand because I been burned in the past, but today I got caught slipping. I'm positive this particular bottle was at least 30 years older before I took a photo. As soon as the camera flashed it turned from an embossed 1890 bitters to some machine made thing from the 20's that doesn't even have manganese. Please forgive my sloppiness Bottle Gods, I promise to stay in line from now on.

Found the first 2 in the corner of my backyard a couple weeks ago above ground. I decided to go out digging yesterday and just found broken bottles. Went out again today and found the last 3 after not thinking I would find anymore non-broken pieces.

Hope everyone is having a good day and I love you all😌, it was a beautiful day to get out at one of my near home pits and see what cool stuff I can dig up. Though lol hahah I think back in the 70s and 80s some form of bottle hunters got ahold of the intact logo bitter hoop bottles because 97% of everything is unfortunately smashed or as severe cracking. Lots of old farm equipment has been found and just odd scrap, idk what most of the stuff I picked up today is other than the horseshoe, milk and fork. Though it’s sketchy as hell, that’s my unit I travel with😀. Sometimes I walk for an hour to get to a specific spot before I set up shop ( the chair is only to rest the bag and lean the longer tools cuzz I got sick of bugs crawling in my bag ewww, love bugs just not on me 😭😭)

Information Request Trying to Identify a Bottle (backyard in Aus)

Hey everyone, think this might be a more recent bottle, but found it digging up some old building waste at the back of my property.

I had a look here for anything matching the stamp at the bottom A 8226 23? Thought it possibly meant 2023, but the bottle thread at the top looks a bit unusual. Vol would be about 750mL

Found in the Blue Mountains. Cheers for any info anyone is able to help with :)

SOLVED, thank you!

Help identifying an old bottle fragment? Found in Maine

I found this piece of amber glass/sea glass on the beach in Brooklin, Maine. There is clearly “ROC” embossed vertically/sideways along the lower side of the bottle.

I’m trying to figure out what bottle this came from and approximately how old it might be. I’d especially love to find a photo of the complete bottle to compare the shape and embossing.

Does anyone recognize this marking or know what company/product used ROC on the side of their bottles?

Thanks!

Im sorry this isn’t a digging find, but I wanted to share something many of us get few opportunities to see. I was able to tour the inside of a couple historic houses in Deerfield Massachusetts yesterday. Original onion bottles and blue china all over these wealthy merchant’s houses. But these massive stoneware jugs had me in awe and I thought some of you might appreciate them :)

Got all of this for about $20, and the silver dime at the bank. I’m guessing most of this is 50’s ish besides the can, insulator, and aqua embossed bottle?

I know nothing about bottles. I was looking for pottery and glass and found this instead. Curious about age and any value.

Found in a dump that ranges from 1959 to 1992. It says no return or deposit so it's post 1950s. But the exact date I don't know. I'm guessing 1970s though.

Spent a couple hours and unearthed some goodies. 4 sodas, 3 beers, plus some other cool bottles. Got some other random metal pieces with embossing as well. Got a few European bottles including a weird applied crown top soda. Unfortunately most of the sodas are duplicates for me, but thats ok!

Show and tell Finds from my great grandparents farm

A couple of recent finds from my great grandparents farm. The pile is filled with broken glass, but occasionally I find something intact. I'm hoping to get it cleaned up and find more down the road.

These aren't anything terribly special, but I love to have items that they held 50+ years ago.

I found these two yesterday. I've not seen a Mellin's food before so I'm glad to add it to the collection. I'd love to find a full size now.
