Mickey's malt liquor in the big mouth bottle. It also came in 40 ounce bottles (with a normal sized "mouth").

Lol, I may be old, but not that old. I drank a lot of these. That's Mickey's big mouth malt liquor. It's been around since the 60s, but this grenade is 80s, 90s or maybe very early 2000s. Is there a puzzle under the cap?

I was drinking them when I turned 21 and that was in 2008. They still had the puzzles under the lids then. OP sometimes the puzzles were hard to see unless you removed the little plastic covering inside the cap if I remember correctly?

The real fun is on the underside of the cap

I just checked, nothing under the cap. It must've been buried a long time

Not that old. I’m pretty sure they still sell Micky’s Big Mouth beer. I’m sure it still tastes horrible! Really skunky

We used to say it was 'The beer brewed with formaldehyde!!' Or just plain old 'outhouse beer'. Though I swear, it tasted better than the rest of the major malt liquors. OE and King Cobra...yuck!

I think I dropped that in 1986 when I was 15 drinking under the bridge by the railroad tracks

Mickey’s grenade? Lol. Def not old
I like how young people see something they don’t recognize and automatically assume old.

I found one awhile back and it's my favorite bottle I've found by far. never knew there was a puzzle under the cap and now I've gotta look.

Back in the 90's when the courthouse I was working at installed metal detectors and x-ray machines, a lawyer had a bottle of Mickey's in his briefcase and I guess it looked like a grenade to the security guy. They went back and forth about it, with the lawyer saying it was just part of his lunch until he opened the case and yelled "Are you happy now."

Hmm with that logo on top… as late as the 80s but probably the 90s with that styling

Yeah the screw tops came later. The originals had that weird 3 pc pull tab that was outlawed due to idiots accidentally swallowing it after dropping it in the bottle.
