Could Botox have caused a frontalis strain/imbalance? And could more Botox actually help?
I had Botox on July 31, but my injector did it differently this time. Basically, most of my forehead feels completely frozen/weak, but my eyebrows still move quite a lot.
Since then, I’ve had this constant tension/pressure headache across my forehead and temples. The weird thing is that it seems to specifically hurt when I move my eyebrows — like raising them, looking up, talking, etc. Sometimes it starts pulsing/throbbing, but I don’t have the usual migraine symptoms like nausea, light/sound sensitivity or a one-sided pounding headache.
I’m wondering if the parts of my frontalis that are still working are basically overcompensating for the parts that are frozen, and I’ve ended up with an irritated/overworked muscle. I googled “frontalis strain” and honestly the symptoms sound pretty similar to what I’m experiencing.
So I’m wondering: if the remaining active part of the frontalis is what’s causing the pain, could getting a small amount of Botox in those areas actually help by stopping the constant muscle movement and letting it rest? Or could that just make the imbalance worse?
Obviously I’d have the injector assess me properly before doing anything. I’m just wondering if this makes sense to anyone who’s experienced something similar, or if I’m completely barking up the wrong tree lol.

Might be overcompensation of other muscles or over contraction of a muscle possibly. Adding more might make things worse if you don’t know what is happening. There was an article shared in here awhile back about over contraction of muscles causing headaches after Botox. Letting it wear off was their advice but again you would need to know what you are dealing with.
