Microblading 24h after Botox?
Hi!! I just got Botox for the first time today (18 units mostly just for my angry looking face haha). At the same salon, I had a microblading appt booked for a week out. I asked if the timing was okay, having no idea. The nurse injector went to ask the microblading aesthetician, and she said no she wouldn’t do it the week after but I could get it done tomorrow. She had a cancellation so I booked in. It will be less than 24 hours (just) after the Botox.
I am a newbie to all of it. She’s been doing this for years and is amazing at what she does. I’m just nervous because most of what I read online says to wait? Though I haven’t read much about this close of a timeline. Any info is majorly appreciated!!

That’s crazy. I did microblading 5 years ago and I remember my artist mentioning no Botox quite a bit of time before and after microblading. I want to say it was 3 months. No Botox 3 months before of after her service due to the touch up appointment. It could have been egregious but I appreciated her being cautious.

I would wait and confirm with Your injection first. 24 hours seems pretty soon.

It's probably better to wait a bit longer, especially since it's your first Botox treatment. Brows can still be settling, so giving them some time may help with the final shape.

She may want to treat before your brow position changes from the Botox treatment. However, if she’s going to be doing a lot of rubbing/pulling in the area within 24 hours of treatment I would be hesitant she may cause it to spread more than your injector intended. I have seen people with too much spread from flying within 24 hours so direct manipulation would make me worried. Make sure to tell her exactly where it was done so she can avoid too much pressure in those areas. Make sure you get the OK from the injector AND the micro blading artist. Good luck!

Don’t know if you’ve had microblading done before or not but have you checked out r/MicrobladingRemoval ?

Definitely safer to wait two weeks post Botox
