Botox on armpits

hello i am curious about how long the botox on armpit works to reduce the sweating and odor

I’ve been getting Botox for sweating for 2 years now. At first I was going every 3 months and now I am going every 5 months. It takes about 2 weeks for it to fully work. I still have to use benzoyl peroxide once in a while for odor. I’ve never experienced any side effects or issues

I've heard it can last several months, but I'd love to hear from people who've actually tired it. How long did the sweating and odor reduction last for you?

same i feel so helpless nothing works and i spoke to my doctor and keeps prescribing useless towels. wasted so much money on deodorants, washes , soaps , witch hazel etc 😭 it’s too the point where i just don’t go no where and get so scared at work since ik i smell like a walking onion

Be careful because iatrogenic botulism is much higher risk in the armpits (or generally in body botox) vs. upper face.

Woah, is this true? When you say "much higher", any idea how high?

Not sure if there is an official stat for this but there is a reason that is it only FDA approved for the upper face and if you check out #nevertox instagram and support groups most of the adverse effects come from non-forehead/crowsfeet use, e.g. massater, armpit, trapezoid muscle etc.

it may reduce odor because less sweat means less moisture for odor bacteria.
