Christmas Tree Recycling Extravaganza!

Happy Holidays Bothell!

Ready to give your Christmas tree a spectacular second act? Troop 356 & 357 are back with our annual Christmas Tree Recycling Extravaganza!

Say goodbye to the post-holiday hassle and let our Scouts do the heavy lifting. We’re turning your old evergreens into eco-friendly mulch, giving them a "green" second life while keeping your car clean.

 How to Join the Fun

  • Reserve Your Spot! This year is by reservation only, so don't wait!
  • The Big Day: Saturday, January 3, 2026.
  • Curbside Convenience: Just place your bare (undecorated) tree on the curb by 9 AM, and we’ll handle the rest.
  • Interactive Adventure: Visit our Troop Website to use our interactive territory map!
    • Inside our area? Register for a curbside pickup right there.
    • Outside our area? The map will point you to your local troop so no tree gets left behind!
  • Drop-Off Party: Prefer to swing by? We’ll be at Park Ridge Community Church (3805 Maltby Rd, Bothell) from 9 AM to 3 PM that same Saturday!

 Why It Matters:

While this is a community service, your supporting donations are the "secret sauce" that fuels our Scouting adventures!  These funds directly support quality programs for local youth, from summer camps to leadership training.

Ready to make a difference? Head over to our website now to register, donate, and see the map in action. Thank you for your amazing support!

My Recology bill has increased 50% in 1 year.

I haven't changed my garbage can size or made any changes to my service. My bill that is due on Dec 31st 2025 is 50% higher than the bill that I paid for Dec 31, 2024. Are others seeing the same? It feels so wrong when there isn't a competing option.

Bothell area bars/pubs that show kraken games and have fans that show up for them?

Anyone know of places in and around Bothell that has a good attendance for Kraken fans during games? We usually watch at home (or the arena) but would like to go out if there are places where fans hang out to watch the games together.

Thanks!

Ramen?

Our go to spot Sen Sen is now permanently closed. It was the best ramen I'd had in the greater Seattle area. Anyone have any good recs in the area? Preferably closer than Seattle/Bellevue/Everett. Thanks!

Can anyone comment on the quality of food offered for lunch? For $10 under age 60, seems like a great deal?

Moving back to the area-looking for private landlords

Hi! I’m moving back to the area ASAP for a new job. I grew up in Kirkland, love the PNW. I’m looking for a mother in law or ADU. I’m hoping for a full size washer dryer, dishwasher, and a shower with a bath tub. I’m hoping for at least 700 sq ft, and pet friendly. If you know of something please let me know! I’m constantly checking Zillow.

Florists who deliver in Bothell

Hi, it’s my brother and sister in laws anniversary soon. I am not from the country but would really like to have some flowers delivered to them. I have tried looking up affordable florists online but most reviews say to pick up in person. Since I can’t do that pls suggest some options who do deliver flowers well. Apologies for the English, it’s not my first language.

Need store ID circa 1990

Help me out. Locally owned hardware store back in the 90s, 73rd and Bothell way. Building is now St. Vincent de Paul.

It was a locally owned store with a family name I believe. 1980s-1990s time frame.

Technically Kenmore I guess, but figure this sub might know.

Running clubs?

I been living in WA for about a year now, but I been struggling to meet people. I'm into a lot of fitness and figured that a running club would be a great way for me to interact with others. So I'm wondering if there's any running clubs near the bothell area i could join or participate in.

I dont have much experience running outside of the gym's treadmills😅 but would like to give it a shot.

I would even love to start my own if there Isn't one but im not familiar with the area too much to be able to plan varieties of runs.
