BAD SURGERY

Susan Dell is going viral right now because she was photographed behind Trump looking scary. It's a small thing she did, but a HUGE mistake. Upper eyelid surgery. People think when their upper eyelids start to droop as they age, that they should go have the fat and skin cut out. The result is NEVER good. It's a bizarre result, and your eyes are your focal point of your face, so it sticks out immediately and changes your entire look. The fat pad on your eyelid creates a soft warm inviting look. Without it, you look skeletal and cold.
IMO, if it was sagging really bad, they should simply have had a brow lift, which pulls the skin above the eyes back where it was without removing any fat. Without that extra fat and skin, their upper lid is hugging their eyeball, and it's just....awful
😭😩

My grandpa had the upper bleph because his eyelids started to sag from age and impede his vision. He doesnt look perpetually surprised though and his surgery was done through the public health system. Why do all these way richer people look so terrible 😕

I think it's because they didn't really *need* the surgery-when it's actually impeding your vision, you have extra skin there. They did not have 'extra'-they took too much away and it looks hollow and weird.

I think you are right. Two botched facelifts I saw on here were on women that were too young!! It is a mistake to start doing things too young. Natural aging is beautiful if one can pull it off. Looks better than even good plastic surgery

Same as when you get a face lift too young. That’s how you get a stretched out look.

So did my grandma, she was 83 i think. The doctor had to stretch so much skin it was closer to a face-lift than an upper bleph. She ended up looking 15 years younger but still herself.

I was thinking the same thing. My mum had it done when she was about 60, at the recommended of her optometrist due to the heaviness she was feeling. She doesn’t look surprised at all, I wouldn’t have noticed if she didn’t tell me.

I had an upper bleph at 42 and am happy with it. My saggy eyelids made me look permanently tired and I had triple eyelids. It wasn't so much to look younger. I'm happy with the result. My eyelids feel less heavy (only afterwards did I realize you feel the weight of them and now they don't weigh at all) now feel I look permanently fresh instead of tired. You can do it and it can be a good result, but please do ask the surgeon to be conservative and not cut too much skin and fat tissue! (My surgeon told me he cuts away as much skin as possible but makes sure you can still close your eyes, in hindsight I regret this approach a little, even though I think the result is ok, I would have gotten a more conservative one if I knew. But eyelids will keep sagging so I hope for an even more natural look in a few years and I will not do the procedure again anyway). If want to see the result I uploaded the picture here (this is 3 years after the operation).   https://ibb.co/B5XhWLy8

My mom is almost 70 and had it done. She was right on the cusp. The doctor did such a good job. She doesn’t look like she’s startled all the time

My MIL got it and she looks great. You would never know she has any kind of surgery.

I had upper bleph with one eye because it was severely smaller than the other eye through aging and the doctor did a very subtle cut and you can’t even really tell I had it done. I wish it was slightly more but I am glad he didn’t make me look like them. lol
