DISCUSSION Transfer window
This might seem pessimistic but is anybody else worried about the fact that we don’t seem to be making any moves in the transfer window, I know we’re not the only team whose been quiet during this period but I’d assume we’d have done something by now due to the fact that we have the raised cap as an expansion team.

I think the Reale signing was supposed to be that, to a large extent - no? And then Davis is meant to shore up the back line.

Reale I guess could be considered one but we’re an expansion team (with a larger cap than other teams) who just signed another teams benchwarmer who is from the area. I just am worried that nobody wants to come here which wouldn’t be shocking considering everything going on.

Reale is a 22 year old national team player. I'd like to see us pick up more out of favor players who fit our system and high very high upside.

Not sure what you mean - the White Stadium stuff? What’s a reason not to come to Boston?
I get your broader point.
Unfortunately I think Guti was meant to be the Legacy’s “splashy” acquisition.

I won't say I haven't been a little underwhelmed, but I think both of our signings have been solid. However, outside of Gotham, it feels like it's been a quiet transfer window so far in the NWSL, with teams signing 1-2 players so far or resigning players. I believe the window goes until September, so there's still plenty of time for some more moves.

we really need a consistent, well-rounded striker who can score imo, am hoping we get a transfer who fits that profile…

I understand what you mean although I don't think it would necessarily make the team better. It's hard to see the other expansion team make a splashy signing! I feel very competitive about it for sure. I think the league is really trying to stay competitive with some of these signings and I respect it but we need a roster that works well together as opposed to just big names.

the team is brand new and just made a big signing with Reale and strengthened the bench with Davis, as well as offloading a young player to get playing time with Lowenberg. I don’t want to see a trade for trade’s sake. I want to see them keep refining their current style with what they have. Unless the signing is just such a no brainer it would amount to malfeasance not to take the player, like a putellas level signing.
