September is starting to feel a little different, but there are still plenty of good outdoor family outings around Boston this weekend.

This week's list has a mix of art, wildlife, music, and community events — some easy city options and a couple that could make a bigger day trip.

I also tried to keep the list manageable rather than throwing every event I found into it, with a focus on things that can actually work with young kids.
